Engage With Age has a wide range of
games equipment available for use with
older people’s groups in the Belfast area
which are suitable for all levels of ability or
disability.
The games are a great resource for getting
older people involved in physical activities
suited to their ability and as well as being
really enjoyable they can promote –
Better balance, fitness &
co-ordination skills.
Improve general physical &
mental well being.
Compliment your programme
of activities.
All you need is the use of a hall, common
room or garden with enough space to
set out the equipment. Games can be
played individually or by dividing people
up into teams, perhaps with some prizes for
the winners !
The games can be borrowed from us for
use with your group, all we ask is a small
deposit of £5.00 returned to you when the
game is brought back. Alternatively one of
our Development Officers could come out
and facilitate a session if required.

The following games can be borrowed...
Bean Bag’s & Target – test your hand-eye
co-ordination, throw your bean bags on to a
large numbered target.
Croquet – outdoor garden croquet, knock the
wooden balls through the hoops with wooden
mallets, best played on grass.
Boccia – a seated form of indoor bowls, two
teams compete to get their boccia balls
closest to the white target ball.
Giant Draughts – can be played between
two players either indoors or out,
rules included !
Boules – outdoor game, compete by
throwing plastic or metal balls to get closest
to small jack, ideal for a grass, sand or gravel
pitch.
Crazy Golf – a 12 hole crazy golf set,
complete with golf tee mats, 3 putting
irons & golf balls!

High Score Wedge Target & Bowls – compete
by rolling foam New Age bowling balls onto a
numbered target wedge with different scored
holes.
Pendulum Bowler Frame, Ball & Skittles – swing
a large ball on a weighted pendulum to knock
down the skittles !
Quoits – rope quoits are thrown on to peg board,
see who can get the highest number of points,
suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
Horse Shoe throwing – see who can get the
most horse shoes around the peg !
Wooden Skittles – try knocking down as many
wooden skittles with three balls, play on any
surface.
New Age Bowls – similar to indoor bowls, 4 red
and 4 blue foam biased bowling balls and
yellow jack.
X Box 360 Kinect Sports – what is it ?
All kinds of sports & physical activity games, play it
on the TV or project it on to a big screen.
New Age Kurling - two teams compete to
push or slide their kurling stones on rollers on to
a target, needs smooth surface flooring.
