ALL FEES are due to be paid by the end of
April. Please note should your child’s fees not be
paid by this date ‘Redbank Plains Bears Executive
will enforce the ‘No Pay, No Play” Policy and you
child will not be able to take the field.
WE have Eftpos and are available to take
payments on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
evenings 5.30 – 7pm! Please see Jodie or Sarah
ASAP!
Remember that every time you make a purchase at Amart Allsports tell them
you’re with the Bears and 5% of your total purchase will come back to the club.
Please be advised that we have received notice from the Ipswich City Council that
parking on the ridge, beside the club house or around the grounds is no longer
allowed. Council will be conducting regular patrols of the area and issuing fines to
those who do not comply. We know that car parking is an issue and we are currently
in talks to extend our current carpark but for the time being could you please use
the carpark provided and the grassed area behind it towards the road. Thank you
for your cooperation in this matter.

This weekend U7 White played Norths Tiger. Our whole team played amazingly and
kept persevering through the entire game. Our youngsters are working hard on
learning how to spread out when they have the ball and not bunching up. We had a
lot of break troughs with the ball today. Tyrell Tupa-Tamate and Jackson Ruben
both scored and Max Osborne had some great runs as did Simeon Ansley. Our team
is coming together awesomely and are great at backing each other up both while we
have the ball and when we are in defense. Great game U7 White!!!
On a long weekend that we all take a moment to remember those who fought & lost
their lives.
Our boys travelled to Harrisville to play Fassifern, The game was played in great
spirit & ebbed & flowed for the majority of the game.
The footy played was really enjoyable to watch & there are facets of the game that
the boys are improving every week because they are working hard at training & they
seem to be enjoying training & enjoying their footy. The main things that we notice
an improvement on is their ball handling, defensive line, tackling & running onto the
ball (on the burst), These are things that we worked on last week so it's good to see
the boys are listening & learning.
A big thanks to those that volunteered for our first fundraising BBQ, It was a
successful one thanks to you guys, Also thanks to Foodworks & to the people of
Redbank Plains for supporting us, We have another this weekend at Masters
Springfield so again your help would be appreciated but of course not compulsory,
Please let us know if you are able to assist, See you at training.
This weekend we had our first home game and the Boys played well and put on a show
for all their supports. Once again with their defence it was amazing and runs like
lightning. It was a hot and sweaty day but it didn't bother our boys with their plays.

U14’s Bears Red - Home Game - v Westend 15.04.16
Our Bears had great game, coming away with a win for the first competition round of
the season against West End with a fulltime score of 48 points to 12.
Sam “the terminator” Laban had an outstanding game scoring 5 of our tries, followed
by Brock Coombe with 2 x tries and Tusi, Fono & Genesis each scoring a try as well.
We recognize the good work of all on the field though, for if it weren’t for quick
hands and well executed offloads by other team mates, and our team making good
yards from kick off, our team would not have been in a position to score as well as
we did. Our defence worked hard as well to keep West End at bay, Cody, William,
Fono & Hinckley worked like Trojans & put up some mad tackles!!
There is still plenty of work ahead of us though guys….had we not been penalized so
much for some poor on field behaviour choices, not listening, nor heeding the refs
decisions, we would surely have had more of a chance to increase our scoreline.
Please let’s remember everyone, that what the ref says goes! The ref has the
final say and we need to be respectful of that, whether we agree or not.
Thank you to Robbo (Trent’s Dad) for League Safing, Stuart (Sandon’s Dad) for
First Aiding & to Brad from the Senior Mens team for running the line for our game,
thanks guys!
Lastly, a huge thanks to Trent & Tyler for volunteering themselves to sit the
entire game out as we had 19 players and were only allowed to field 17 on the night.
Well done boys, you are a credit to your families for being so understanding &
obliging. Parents & Players, we’ll talk more about this rule and how we are going to
manage going forward this week at training.

and all players need to be in attendance!
U14’s Bears Red - Home Game - v Springfield 22.04.16
Our team put up a strong fight against Springfield this week, but we were
unfortunately defeated
32 points to 4. There were some great offloads,
tackles and team work at times, but all in all, we followed the play of the ball far too
much, bunching up and leaving ourselves wide open in defence, forgetting to hold our
line, across the field. Springfield’s attack took full advantage, scoring through the
gaps created, time & again.
So lot’s to work on this week boys at training!!! See you all there. 

This week the U14 Girls Blue played their own club.
While a few people were worried that the girls would not take this game serious the
girls turned up to the field and proved us wrong and made us proud.
Even though the girls came away with a loss they were not defeated.
After the match both teams joined in a huge circle and sang their team song it was a
great way to end the match.
Hold your heads high U14 Blue you should be proud like all the parents are.

Wow! What an awesome game our U17s boys had! Although we didn't get the win, we
sure got the big changes that our boys and coaches wanted and needed! We just
want to thank the boys for always turning up to training and to parents for all their
support! Just a gentle reminder about training days and times. We train Monday and
Wednesday 6:30. Thanks Family!
