Port Elizabeth City Tour and SAMREC (A)
4 hour tour of Port Elizabeth, steeped in history, visiting the town centre, Fort, Donkin, Ivy Terrace,

We start our art excursion at the historical Donkin Reserve to view the art forms then we make our way to the
Athenaeum Gallery in Belmont Terrace for the more contemporary art by some Eastern Cape artists. We then
visit The artEC Gallery on 36 Bird Street, Central before we continue our art journey to Nelson Mandela Bay
and Ron Belling Art Galleries located in Park Drive Central then to the Montage Gallery in Walmer.

A full day spent in this wonderful park with surprise viewing on nearly all our visits. Enjoy watching the
antics of these beautiful creatures that have such a wonderful social life together. Other animals in park
are rhino, leopard, lion, buffalo, hyena, warthog, zebra and numerous and various antelope. Many
sightings lately of our wild cats endemic to this area.

Jeffrey’s Bay and St Francis (A)
A full day tour from Port Elizabeth to Cape St Francis for a walk along the beach and enjoy some shell
collecting. Travel to the Bay of St Francis and the marina and visit the quaint small village harbour.
We then visit the Humansdorp Museum before our lunch stop. We then continue to Jeffrey's Bay - the
surfing mecca where the annual Billabong Surfing Competition is held and visit the Shell Museum as well as
enjoying the beautiful beach of this small coastal town.

Gamtoos Valley, Patensie, Baviaanskloof and the Kouga Dam (A)
Enjoy a day in this beautiful fertile valley where many of the French Huguenots who became “Free
Burgers” left the Cape to flee from the restraints of the Dutch East India Company, travelled east and
found this valley and settled. This valley is the main fruit and vegetable supply for Port Elizabeth. Visit
Sarah Baartman’s grave and listen to the history of this area as well as the story of this San woman. Area

19. Zipline and Storms River Mouth Cruise – weather permitting (C)
Enjoy a day in the Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve on the Garden Route on an adventure trip. Firstly a

23. Grahamstown Settler Tour (B)
Travel to the 'City of Saints' so called after the more than 40 places of worship. Visit the Grahamstown
Monument, the old Fort, the old Goal and different museums as well as the only Camera Obscurer in the
Southern Hemisphere. From there travel to Bathurst for lunch - can visit the Pig and Whistle Hotel built in
1835 by the settlers. Visit the Toposcope then continue to a Pineapple Farm and enjoy freshly pressed
pineapple
juice. Travel through Port Alfred and the beautiful marina, Alexandria, the
centre of the Chicory Production and arrive back in Port Elizabeth in the
late afternoon.

24. Addo River Safari (B)
Pickup at 07h30 for Addo to enjoy a 3 hour River Safari. Explore a different side of Addo and view game
and birds on the riverbank while you drift down some of the most scenic parts of the Sunday's River in a
custom designed, comfortable and safe canoe (no paddling experience needed). Drinks, Snacks, Custom
Canoes and Life Jackets supplied. One of the best bird watching experience in the Eastern Cape, where
one can find countless water birds, 7 different species of Kingfisher and the chance of sighting the
magnificent Fish Eagle. After lunch visit Addo Elephant National Park for the afternoon. Return to lodge
late afternoon.
