TSPLOST REFERENDUM TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2016 Transportation is an issue facing every person in metro Atlanta. Chattahoochee Hills’ voters, along with voters in South Fulton and North Fulton, will participate in a Transportation Vote on November 8th, 2016. Voters will be asked to consider a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax for Transportation Purposes (TSPLOST) of 0.75₵ (three quarters of a cent). The 2016 TSPLOST Referendum proposes an investment of $569 million in transportation improvements addressing congestion relief, maintenance and safety, operations and safety, bridges and pedestrian/bike improvements. All cities in South & North Fulton have worked with Fulton County for more than one year. Funds will be distributed to cities based on population. The City of Chattahoochee Hills is expected to receive approximately $2.6 million over five years. Each participating city developed a project list based on resident feedback. Chattahoochee Hills plans to invest the majority of its funding on resurfacing of roadways. All SPLOST projects will be locally controlled Projects are divided into three tiers. Based on revenue projections, Tier 1 & 2 projects are expected to be funded in the five year SPLOST period. Tier 1 projects will be the first phase, followed by Tier 2.
