IMPORTANT TIPS ABOUT
Internet safety is an important
lesson to
use the
internet correctly. Keeping the
rules
of the internet is easy
if you think of what
you are
doing at all times.
What to do:
 Never tell anyone who you
are or reveal any personal
information.
 Say no rude words or things
other people might be
disturbed of them.
 Don’t press any links that
you don’t know who they are
from, it could give a virus.
 Don’t share any passwords
with anyone.
A virus is when something hacks into your system and
steals something, such as- Passwords. If people gets
your password they could log in as you and do
anything they like.
REMEMBER-
You don’t know who
the people actually are. Example: If
someone says they are 11years old they
may actually be older or younger then
they say they are.

Hello, and welcome to Teacher of Dance. Here we will be telling you all about
our fantastic teacher of dance… Mrs Stuart. Recently, letters have been sent
out to year six students for the Greenacre Dance Fusion competition.
The forms have been sent in so it is confirmed that:
Isabelle, Abi, Neo, Anna, Faith and Lily are doing the Dance Fusion competition.
This would not be possible without the help of Mrs Stuart.
Mrs Stuart teaches all the dances for the Passion play, Christmas play and the
year 6 Leavers play which is our own this year. The year 5’s are also included…
they are the understudies and they take part in dances and they sing.
We are so proud of our dance teacher. Without her our plays would not be as
exciting and enjoyable!

What’s that noise I think it’s my grandma again,
Playing the drums trying to act young
She never succeeds she makes my ears bleed
She thinks she’s so cool but she’s just a fool
Bang Bang
What’s that noise I think it’s grandma AGAIN
My grandma loves to sing
She loves to dance too
But all she does is prance and scream
I love you grandma but you’re such a pain
please pipe down or I won’t come to your house
again.

Morning:
Dear diary:
Today at school, was booster day (which we get taught extra work
for SATS) it was VERY boring but it does help. My enemy Lola was
TOTALLY naughty and her friend Amber was as well. They spilt Miss.
Day’s water on purpose when she was not looking, they ripped their
work and they blamed it all on me. I always forget my home work so
that’s not any better, as I got told off for THAT TOO! IM SO ANGRY I
HATE SCHOOL!!!
Afternoon:
I’m still angry at Lola and Amber, why do they have to be like this?
ITS NOT FAIR!!! The only good part of the day was lunch when I got
to hang out with my friends. Oh and of course…P.E, but the rest was
super boring. I transferred to this school and started in year 3 it was
ok at first but by accident I spilt paint on Lola, she hated me after
that every day she glared at me, she left nasty letters in my tray and
then she met Amber who just copies what she does, oh and they
both bully me.
Home time:
I was walking home today, that’s when I realised I was being
followed. I turned round, when I saw Lola and Amber Lola
asked me a question … why was u mean to me. I asked when,
she said 2011 Monday 21st of December . SHE REMEMBERED
THAT EXACT DAY. I replied I never did that on purpose, Lola
looked confuzzeled (confused) we heard in a loud voice
Stop! Who was it …
It was Mrs Day she said she saw us just walking off with no
explanation, she followed us and heard everything. She was
mad at Lola and Amber, they both had to stay in at lunch.
The teacher asked me why didn’t I tell anyone . I said I didn’t
want to tell anyone because it was my business, the teacher
said it’s not nice to get bullied, she should know she was
bullied once when she was a child. She told me I should
always tell an adult no matter what I replied “ok I will.”
The next day ALL my friends came up to me and asked me
why I never told anyone about me being bullied by Amber
and Lola. I told them them that it was a secret; I thought if I
tell anybody they’d bully me even more!
From that day onwards, Lola, Amber and I all became best
friends, they had learnt their lesson. We did have the
occasional arguments but we always made up and we turned
out to be BFF!
Our school took part in a mini youth game netball tournament this year. It was held
24th March 2015 at Rainham girls secondary school.
These are the netballers that did us proud:
Bethany, Simon, Abiola, Isabelle, Summer, Lachlan and Joel.
48 local schools took part in this event, 8 matches were played per school. There
are 7 possible positions you can play,
Goal shooter, Goal Attack, Centre, Time keeper, Scorer, Goal Keeper and Goal
Defence.
Mr. Considine and Miss. Allen gave all of the team pep talks and supported us all
the way. We did our school proud and came 39th considering we didn’t get much
practice. In our 8 matches Simon ward did very well and scored a total of 6 and
Bethany Kealey managed 1 amazing shot.
We had a lovely day out but for some of us that was not the only event that took
part that day. Dance fusion was just minutes away (you can read more about
Dance Fusion in some other articles.)
Next year the year 5s will be having a go,( good luck in advance!)

Our school is the best because the teachers
are really nice in their own ways. All of us get
along and the TAs help us with work we don’t
understand.
We will be really sad when we leave because
we love this school and we have been at this
school for seven years.
I know a lot of people who like this school and
I wouldn’t blame them, this school is the best
trust me. I know since my mum came here, I
come here and someday my children will
come here...
Our school took part in the Greenacre Dance Fusion competition
this year on the 24th March 2015.
We came 5th place. We are all so proud and we couldn’t have done
this without the help of Mrs. Stuart, she taught us the dance and
we are also very grateful to Mrs. Davis for taking the time to help
us practice. We are also really indebted to the lady who organised
the whole thing, Mrs. Hills, (she is also the PE teacher here for years
5 and 6 for 6 weeks and she is one of the main PE teachers at
Greenacre).
In the competition there were many schools, some secondary and
some primary. The primary and secondary did not compete against
each other. The secondary schools competed against other
secondary schools and primary schools were against other primary
schools
For the secondary category in first place was Greenacre Academy.
For the primary category in first place was Walderslade Primary.
We are so proud that we came 5th place !

Stupid teachers are dumb,
Stupid teachers suck their thumb,
Stupid teachers want their mummy,
We think that they need a dummy.
They’re skinny, they’re fat,
They can’t play with a baseball bat,
They can’t do maths,
Nor follow set paths,
They think they can dance,
But all they do is prance,
They especially can’t drive
I wonder if they can do the jive?
We know they’re dumb,
We know they suck their thumb,
But we know our teachers are smart,
Our teachers that taught us taught us from the start!

Hello and welcome to Star Student. Here, every term we will
give you an inside look to the star girl or boy in your class!
Each week there will be a class we will focus on… this week
it’s Year R!
Today’s girl is……Christabel! She is an amazing Year R
student. She has shown excellent skills in her reading and has
achieved many certificates for being kind and helpful to
others.
Christabel’s singing in the Christmas play was outstanding
she remembered all her lines just like her sister, the star of
the Year 1 and 2 plays, Faith. Christabel is one of the Year R
school councillors alongside Elliot. She enjoys playing with
Jessica and loves having school dinners… Mmm Yummy!
Christabel enjoys school and all her teachers and friends.
Come back for more next time on Star Student! Maybe it
could be you!

By Samuel Yorke.
KA-BLAM! Mud and water sprayed over William Frederic’s helmet. ‘This isn’t what I should be doing on a
Sunday morning,’ he thought ‘I should be on the beach with my family.’ Suddenly, a thundering voice broke
over the noise. ‘’LUTENANT WILLIAM FREDRIC, STOP DAY-DREAMIN’ WE’VE GOT A DAMN WAR ON IF YOU
HAVEN’T NOTICED!’’ screeched Captain Joe Thunder-Storm. ‘’Give him a break cap’, he’s just received a telegram saying that his brother’s house has been bombed, and they haven’t re-covered any survivors yet.’’
shouted back Williams best friend, Joseph Theterson.
“Yeah, but that still isn’t an excuse to not fight,” Answered Joe, “So get back to work!” William picked up his
shot-gun and re-loaded.
“YOU WHAT?!” Said Captain Thunder-Storm,
“I said I wanted a train journey back to England.” Answered William calmly, for he received a tele-gram that
might be a chance that his brother was alive. William wanted to take the risk and go back to Britain.
‘’Well, you’re not, I need all the troops I can get down here.” Answered back Joe.
“Well unless you want to disobey the Queen, fine by me.” All the colour drained from Joe’s face. He would
never disobey the Queen. Never.
“I’ll see what I can do.’’
Several hours later, William was on a ferry back to Britain, caring all the wounded back to hospitals. William
was very concerned if his brother was alive or not. Another few hours later William was back on the beaches of
Britain and was trying to find some sort of transport that could get him over to the capital city. He spotted an
ambulance and sprinted over to it. He questioned the driver where about he was heading. The driver replied
and William smiled with joy.
Several minutes later, William was staring at the wreckage of his brother’s house in London. He looked at with
disbelief and grieve. William scanned his surroundings. Across the street he saw a nurse patching up a man.
William studied him closely, and the man’s face was unmistakably his brothers! He sprinted over to his brother
waving at him with every ounce of energy in his body. His brother spotted him and waved back. When William
reached him his brother asked:”where have you been, and how did you find me?”
William replied:” it’s a long story…”
WANTED
REWARD
By Michaela Wyatt
Sam tripped over something small. It was a book. When he turned the torn cover, he suddenly found
himself in a place he didn’t recognise.
Sam was wearing old, tatty clothes instead of his clothes. Wonderful, spectacular flowers covered
the ground and a tall castle stood in the middle of the garden. “Hey, you! Get out of here!” Someone
shouted. Sam turned round. Two guards were coming towards him. Not even realising, Sam had
trodden on Queen Victoria’s prized tulips. That made the guards really angry and they chased him.
Quickly, Sam ran out of the garden and into a town. In the corner of his eye Sam saw the guards pick
up his book. How did the book get him here?
As Sam entered the tiny town he was shocked. Walking around were people dressed in old, tatty
clothes. “Did you hear? Queen Victoria is having a grand feast,” someone said. Astonished, he ran
and picked up a newspaper and looked at the date; 1880! Sam’s head started to spin like a dart
wheel. He thought that he was going to faint.
While wandered around the small town, he noticed a wanted sign saying: ‘Wanted! This boy has
trodden on Queen Victoria’s prized tulips. £100 for anyone who finds him.’ Unfortunately, Sam saw
his face on the wanted sign!
“How can I get back,” whined Sam. He was pacing back and forth; making himself ill. “Ahha!” cried
Sam “If the book got me here, it has to get me back.” But the problem was that Queen Victoria’s
guard had it. Sam had to get the book. This was going to be a dangerous mission!
When the sky was as dark as a jaguars fur and the moon was as dark as a dagger; Sam sneakily crept
to the gate, which guarded the castle, and luckily found a little hole under the gate. Slowly he
crawled through the hole- making sure that no one could hear him- and sneaked to the castle’s door.
Suddenly, a guard started to shout at him. He had to get away and fast!
Closer and closer the guard came. Quickly, Sam ran. Faster and faster he ran, until he went into a
large room with many lovely paintings on the walls. “Ahhhh! Guards, guards!” Sam turned round.
Sitting on a beautiful bed was the Queen. Suddenly, many guards burst into the room. Sam had to do
something! Fortunately, Sam saw his book lying on the Queen’s table. He picked it up and opened it.
“Arrest him!” shouted Queen Victoria.
“Nooooo!” cried Sam. He looked around. He was in his room and sitting on his comfortable bed. Was
it a dream?
“Samuel, are you alright?” asked Sam’s mum, who was downstairs, “Come down and have your
breakfast.” Sam put on his dark, green, woolly slippers and ran downstairs.
“Ahhhh!” screamed Sam’s mum, “What are you wearing?” Sam looked at his clothes. He was still
wearing the old, tatty clothes. It wasn’t a dream!

I remember us shivering with fear,
Young children confused and scared,
We never knew this would be our last tear,
We tried to escape but there was no way out!
In the silence screams were starting to appear,
Scared and frightened we hide,
We hide so no danger comes near,
Now we hear kids being tortured!
In a heartbeat we can’t sleep with fear around,
Baby’s crying and screaming,
We cover our ears from that sound,
We know we’re close to death!
Sadly some of us had fallen,
Some of us survived,
Nothing will ever be the same.
Remember those who died!
