Description
The Little Inch Connecting System (LINCS) sets the standard for flexible,
inconspicuous undercabinet lighting. LINCS’ unique labor-saving plug-together
design affords premium quality at a low installed cost. The attractive extruded
aluminum design dissipates heat, is durable, lightweight and corrosion
resistant. LINCS is available with either halogen or xenon lamps to best suit
your application requirements. The wide variety of finishes and wiring options
make LINCS a great choice for both residential and commercial applications.

luminaires.
• Sandblasted glass lens minimizes lamp images on specular surfaces.
• Optional integral occupancy sensor automatically switches LINCS
on when the task area is occupied and off when vacant, helping to
maximize energy savings.

Specifications
Construction .060” extruded aluminum housing with
injection molded polycarbonate endcaps and covers.
Reflector & Lens 5/32” tempered, sandblasted
glass lens to minimize lamp image on task surface.
Lens is secured to housing with two thumbscrews.
A white painted reflector is provided with black
finished models.
Finish LINCS is available in either a white or black
polyester powder-coat paint finish. In addition,
LINCS can be selected with a satin aluminum finish.
White painted models have matching white endcaps.
Black endcaps are provided with the black painted or
satin aluminum.
Lamps LINCS is supplied with halogen or xenon
lamps. Halogen lamps are 12v, 20W T3 lamps (G4 bipin base) with a 3000K color temperature and 2,000
hours rated life. A 10 watt lamp can be chosen as an
option or used as a future replacement lamp.
Xenon lamps are 12v, 18W T5 lamps (wedge
base) with a 2800K color temperature and 10,000
hours rated life. Xenon and halogen lamps are not
interchangeable.
Listings UL and CUL Listed for both direct-wired
and portable installations. The luminaire is also IBEW
labeled.
Electrical
Luminaires are supplied with an
electronic, high frequency 12v transformer. LINCS is
only available for 120 volt applications. Not available
for 277v or 347v installations. Optional passive
infrared occupancy sensor control (OSC) available.
Dimming
LINCS low voltage halogen/xenon
luminaires can be dimmed with a reverse phase
dimmer specifically designed for electronic low voltage
transformers.
Installation Male and female grounded Molex™
connectors are built into each end for modular,
plug-together electrical connection. LINCS can
also be connected with interconnect cords. A UL
recognized 3/8” flexible metal conduit/non-metallic
sheathed wiring connector is supplied with the
luminaire for direct-wiring into knockout in the back
of the housing or through adapter plate at the left
end. LINCS100HN18, 100XN18, 100HN27 and
100XN27 models have a wiring access panel with a
knockout to allow quick wiring of the first luminaire
without opening the wireway cover. For portable
installations, the power cord plugs directly into the
left end of the luminaire.
Warranty All luminaire components, except lamps
and transformers, are warranted against defects
during the life of the original installation (reference
Alkco’s Buying Guide for details).

The OSC has a passive infrared occupancy (PIR) sensor
and a photocell for reading ambient light level. The
PIR sensor has a field-adjustable time delay that that
can be set for 30 sec., 10 min., 20 min., or 30 min. The
photocell allows a minimum ambient light alevel to
be set. If the ambient
illumination is above
this minimum level, the
luminaire will remain
off even if occupancy
is present. Connect
building power to
the LINCS luminaire
with the OSC. All
additional luminaires
interconnected to
that luminaire will
be controlled by
the single OSC.
