Annual Soccer Tournament
Saturday June 17, 2005 and Sunday June 18, 2005
Location:
Warminster, Bucks County, PA (Just north of Philadelphia). This is the seventh tournament
hosted by V. E. All games should be played on V.E fields, no extra driving.
Sanctions:
This is an approved tournament of the EPYSA, affiliated with the USYSA, USSF and FIFA.
Competition: We offer A, B and C levels of play (where possible) for both Boys and Girls teams. All games
will follow 8v8 U.S.Y.S.A. Guidelines. U11 and U 12 teams will play 11v11. If there is enough
interest among the U10 to play 11 v 11, we may set up a division to handle that. All teams must
be affiliated with the USYSA. Each team must present a properly authorized player pass and
signed medical releases for all players covering tournament play.
Age Groupings: U-8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 (and U13 for the Girls). Ages for the FALL 05 season. Based on the
number of applications, an age group may be combined with the next older age group. The
maximum number of players on U8, 9 &10 teams shall be fourteen (14). U11 and U12 teams
are limited to 18 players. Each team is permitted a maximum of four guest players. Players
may only play on one team during the tournament.
Format:
Each participating team will play at least three (3) games on one day. A potential for a 4th game
(aka Championship) (Girls on Saturday / Boys on Sunday). Each game will consist of 2 - 25
minute halves. USSF referees will officiate all games. All games will be played rain or shine.
Insurance:
All teams are responsible for their own insurance. In the event of an accident or injury while in
transit to or from, or while participating in the tournament, Vereinigung Erzgebirge shall not be
held liable.
Awards:
First and second place teams in each category will receive awards for each player.
How to Apply: The entry fee is $325.00 per U-11 & U-12 team (U13 Girls), $300.00 for U-8 through U-10.
The entry fee must accompany the application and must be received by May 26, 2006. Teams
will be registered on a first come, first served basis. In the event divisions are filled, or your
team is disallowed for any reason, your fee will be returned. If a teams does not perform or
withdraws after acceptance, all entry fees will be forfeited. E-Mails of acceptance/denial will be
sent by June 6th, 2006. Teams selected to play will have schedules and maps e-mailed by
June 11, 2006. In the event the tournament is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our
control no refunds will be issued.
