Description of Research Project
This position is multifaceted. The ideal candidate would be an incoming honors student
interested in organizing all program data and history into a functional database; researching
potential programming opportunities offered at peer and aspirant honors programs and
strategizing implementation into the current structure; promoting current program events,
participants, and involvement through social media platforms.
Description of Student Opportunity
The qualified applicant will be given the opportunity to demonstrate organizational strategies by
gathering existing program data, selecting a functional system to archive, build upon, and share
information. He or she will also be given the opportunity to gather programing data from other
honors programs, detail the pros and cons of programing options, and make recommendations as
to the feasibility of implementing into current program structure – ideally playing a significant
role in the design and structure of the new concept. Lastly, the qualified applicant will gain
extensive knowledge about current honors student campus involvement and will strategize to
communicate that information campus wide via social media platforms.

Research Fellow Qualifications
Interest in research, writing, and data collecting;
o Excellent communication skills
o Time-management and organizational skills
o Must be self-starting, detail-oriented, and independent with long-term projects
