Dear Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in the position of Digital Project Manager with vInspired. The
postholder has a crucial role to play in championing an extensive web development as part of our
digital vision and ensuring design, development and testing flows seamlessly across iterations.
You’ll also ensure all digital requirements for our campaigns are managed and delivered effectively.
We are a dynamic, innovative charity with a great track record. We were launched in May 2006 to
deliver the recommendations of the Russell Commission report - to inspire a new generation of
young volunteers. We are a charity that helps young people discover the value of volunteering –
for themselves and for others. We use the power of online to inspire offline actions, offering easyto-access opportunities and support for young people to get involved with good causes in their
communities. Since our launch, we have succeeded in making a step change in the diversity,
quality, and quantity of young people’s volunteering with over 1 million volunteering opportunities
created. An independent evaluation of our work revealed that we had achieved an impressive social
return on our investment (SROI) of between £6 and £12 for every £1 spent.
You will be joining us at a pivotal and exciting time in our development as we move from being a
primarily Government funded organisation to one with a diversified income base, driven by our own
mission. Co-creation, innovation and entrepreneurial nous will form part of our on-going ethos both
internally and externally. Your contribution will be key in helping us to achieve sustainability and
our mission to inspire young people to discover the value of volunteering for themselves and others.
It is crucial that everyone working in the charity shares our commitment to developing skilled, caring
and engaged young people, who feel they belong.
