You made the world and everything in it.

July 23-24
Welcome 
We are so excited for this weekends program! Here is an
overview of what you will be teaching this week.
The Basic truth for our kids to leave with this week: God made
Me, God Made Everything.
Our Memory verse for this week is:
“You made the world and everything in it.”
~Psalm 89:11, NCV
Make It Fun: Pillow Dance, Follow the Leader
Make It Stick: Verse Art, Stop, Pass the Ball
You will need the Stop sign for Follow the Leader, a pillow for each
child
MAKE IT FUN
Have one parent volunteer lead the following activity while another
welcomes the children to the room.
Pillow Dance
A small pillow for each child, a music player, and preschool music,
Give each child a pillow and turn on the music. Encourage the children to
dance and act silly with their pillows. Explain they are to dance when the
music is on and freeze when it stops.
 At the end of dancing for a bit remind the children it is good to stop
and rest after working hard. Just like God did after Creation
Follow the Leader
Show the children the stop sign. Help them identify what a stop sign is used
for. Play “Follow the Leader” as the children follow you around the room.
Choose another leader to hold up the stop sign at random times. When the
stop sign goes up, children must stop and freeze where they are. When the
stop sign comes down, children may continue following the leader around
the room. Play until children lose interest.
 Following the leader is fun, but remind the children why it might be
fun to stop and reflect on what they have done
A long piece of white art paper, stickers, tape, and markers, a ball ,
“STOP Sign Tangle” onto white paper for each child.
MAKE IT STICK
Verse Art
Before the Activity: Write the memory verse down the middle of the art paper. Tape
the paper to the wall at the children’s eye level, or put it on a long table.
Say the Bible verse with the children several times. “You made the world and everything
in it” Make sure to include the motions. Next, ask the children to think of all the things
God made and draw pictures of them on the paper. Give them a time limit to draw.
When the time is up, say STOP! Then ask the children to say the verse by themselves.
If they say the verse correctly reward them with a sticker
 Point out the different things the children chose to draw, acknowledge how
amazing it is how many different things God has created
Pass the Ball
Gather the children in an open area of the room. Instruct them to hold hands to form
a circle and sit down on the floor. Pass the ball around the circle from child to child.
Tell the children that when you say, “STOP,” they must stop where they are. Play
several rounds, but change up how you pass the ball: roll the ball, stand in a line and
pass it, etc.
 Discuss how even though you are enjoying the game how nice it is to take a
break and Stop
STOP
Give each child a copy of the Activity Page. Tell them that they need to find the
correct path to the stop sign. Each path leads to something good God made, but only
one leads to the stop sign. Once the correct path is found, encourage the children to
color all the pictures.
 Take time to reflect all that God has made and that it is good
