Play Sport Promoter Leadership Programme This opportunity is open to students at college or university and will be an excellent way to develop and demonstrate skills that will be desirable in the work place. 1. Role Purpose A PSP can lead on the following: Supporting their institutions with sport and physical activity initiatives and promotion Supporting SSS deliver regional and national events and competition Delivering development initiatives/projects 3. Key Contacts/Relationships Relevant institution departments SSS, Regional Sport Coordinator Other Play Sport Promoters and volunteers Other College and University contacts in the region 4. Commitment The programme will encourage individual, team working and networking. You will have flexibility to shape the role depending on your own/institutions interests and needs. There will be no line management of staff or budget control. The programme will provide a structure for training and personal development. 5. Developing you as a leader A PSP is a motivated, ambitious, innovative, hardworking individual who is determined to make a positive impact at their institution/region. You will be supported to set both project and personal goals with success being self-driven. This opportunity will give you real life examples to demonstrate your skill set in a sporting environment. As a PSP you will be committed to developing your skill set and seek opportunities to demonstrate these. 6. Reward & Recognition All PSPs will be provided with a SSS t-shirt to wear when representing SSS. PSPs with a high level of effort and delivery will be recognised by their institution as well as by SSS through national awards. These PSPs will develop beneficial relationships with key partners in the network.
