Typing Agent
1. Login to https://moodle.stpsb.org using your stpsb.org username and password.
2. Click on the Typing Agent icon, this will prompt you to login to the St. Tammany Parish Sch District
Clever.
3. Login using the same stpsb.org username and password.
4. You will be at the Teacher Main Screen and the Dashboard tab.
5. Click on the
button on the right for more information.
Important: your students are automatically enrolled in your typing
classes through JPAMS. You do not need to enroll or uneroll any
student EVER. Classes are set up through the ELA teachers.
6. Classes tab shows all your classes in tile view icon(s). You can cick the
icon to see your classes in a list.
7. Click on the
icon to change the Class Theme (color), Class Settings,
or Delete Classroom (obviously, DON’T DO THIS since JPAMS is taking care of your classes.)
8. Classes -> Settings -> Class Settings
a. Leave this section alone
b. DO NOT change the passwords!!!!!
c. You can also get to Class Settings by clicking on your class name, then clicking on the Settings tab
(see #11)
9. Classes -> Settings -> Lesson Settings
a. Put a check in the Require 1 Star box
b. Set the Test Time to the minutes you want – Ex. 2 mins
c. DO NOT change the Dynamic Curriculum (this allows students to automatically move to the next
lesson and requires the least amount of work for the teacher.)

10. Classes -> Settings -> Game Settings
a. Click on the Use Gritcoins (earned through at least 1 minute of game play)
b. There are different levels of games
(1) K2 Adventure (K-2)
(2) Adventure Jr. (3-5)
(3) Adventure (6-8)
(4) Agent (9-12)
11. There are 7 tabs when you click on a class:
a. Students tab – DO NOT edit, move or delete students, this is done automatically. Click on the
“eye”
to view work that the student has done. DO NOT login as a student. This
will skew the results of the typing skills. Only use the Actions button ` to Print Students.
b. Curriculum tab – default settings are ok. Lessons tab is where you can see the student’s progress
in the Dynamic Curriculum – what has been Mastered, Repeated, completed, or Flagged for
Problems.
c. Targets tab – leave as default, unless you have a special needs student who needs the proficiency
lowered or raised.

d. Social tab – IMPERITIVE THAT YOU DISABLE SPYMAIL FOR EACH CLASS, then click
the update button. No other settings need to be changed.
e. Gradebook tab – no students will receive a grade for using Typing Agent, but your school could
use the results as rewards.
f. Messages tab – not used
g. Settings tab – see #8-9-10 above

progress, Archive Reports, or see the Report Card.

Social – this should have been disabled by the teacher
Games – students click this to play games. Settings for games can be controlled by the teacher.
My Account – students can change their phone cover color, Avatar, and see their statistics
My Agency Reports – students get Weekly, Yearly, Full Details, Lesson Mastery Report, & a
Time Report
f. Documents – students can type up documents for submission to the teacher
g. Help Me - students can click on any of the icons to get help
h. Exit – students click Exit to log out of the program
