Asia Pacific Mission Statement
To be recognised by current and potential clients with cross border
interests as a leading association of independent firms of accountants
and business advisors with a strong presence in the Asia Pacific region.
To enable Asia Pacific member firms to service current and potential
clients better by demonstrating that we have the resources and quality
of services available throughout our region to meet their business
advisory, accounting and assurance needs.
To provide opportunities for member firms to work together.
To improve member firm performance through knowledge sharing

Increase the number and location of quality members.
Encourage and support national groups.
Strengthen relationships between all DFK Member Firms
in the Asia Pacific Region
Strengthen the DFK Brand in the Asia Pacific Region

Maximise attendance at future DFK Asia Pacific

Increase the number and
location of quality members

Strategies to achieve Goal:
Identify Countries where representation is required
– China, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia (Surabaya
and Medan).
New members in Vietnam, Thailand (Bangkok) and also India have joined
DFK recently
Communicate with “Contact Partners” in all Asia
Pacific firms re potential member firms acting for own
clients in target countries.

Make contact with Consulate offices, Business
Chambers of Commerce in target countries to identify
potential member firms.

Strategies to achieve Goal:
Encourage and support national groups in whatever
capacity required by them.
In association with the DFK International Task force
assist the newly formed Chinese National Group as
necessary

all DFK member firms in the Asia
Pacific Region

Continue developing the special interest groups set
up previously, ie international auditing and assurance,
technical support and franchising
Communicate regularly with special interest group
representatives to discuss and action development plans
for the group

Request National groups to invite other Asia Pacific
members to their own conferences
Encourage member firm partners to visit DFK AP
firms when travelling within the Asia Pacific region
Vice President Asia Pacific to communicate regularly
with AP member firms, quarterly by email, on topical
DFK matters
Strategies to achieve Goal:
Where legally possible, request member firms to add
“DFK” to firm name.
Maintain contact with DFK International Marketing
Committee regarding communicating initiatives for Asia
Pacific Region members.
Carry out a salary survey amongst member firms for
staff groupings, in US Dollars ( similar to the MacDonald's
Big Mac concept ), from accounting technicians through to
senior managers.

Appoint a “champion” from the region to encourage
