Work in pairs or in a group of 3. One person picks one of their favourite activities. They talk about one particular time they did that activity. The other person/s listen for the storytellers strengths which they demonstrated during the activity as they tell their story. Record any additional information on their personal qualities or capabilities. If you need, feel free to ask questions like the ones below: What exactly did you do? Any more detail? What role did you have? Where did you fit? How did you do this? How did you feel? Why? How would others describe you? What does your story say about you? Write down their strengths around the circle as they talk (each strength forms a ‘spoke’ of the wheel). When the storyteller is finished, go through the strengths identified. The storyteller and listener/s add any other strengths around the circle. Evaluation – please complete the evaluation as honestly as possible. For homework: Use the ‘So, what are my strengths’ sheet. Identify, by highlighting, the qualities and capabilities that you demonstrated in your story. These are the graduate qualities and capabilities you will become familiar with across your various subject. Note: please keep all these sheets in your folder.
