Previously object classes were created in a MPR structure instead of simply as classes of ISO
15926. The alterations made do not relate new classes to the MPR structure. The relations are
kept by a nomenclature. For instance is the class Adjustment of value previous period creates as
classified by a Monthly Production Report Flow Balance Object Class and not an ISO 15926
class. This makes it difficult to reuse this class in for instance a Daily Production report.
Category “Product”, Product Kind Nomenclature
This category contains several new terms relative to TietoEnator’s enumeration “Reporting
Product”. The new terms are created in accordance with previous discussions with TE, and are
marked as new a term.
Component classes exist in the RDL, but these are not linked to the MPR Product Kind
Object Class or to the MPR Product Kind Nomenclature. They are now removed from the
XML.
REMOVE: THIS IS NOT REMOVED FROM THE XML OR THE RDL
condensate – gross
Hydrocarbon fractions produced with natural gas, which condense into liquid at normal
temperatures and pressures associated with surface production equipment. - RDL’s definition
REMOVE: unknown, THIS IS NOT REMOVED FROM THE XML OR THE RDL
The value is not known. This value should not be used in normal situations. All reasonable
attempts should be made to determine the appropriate value. Use of this value may result in
rejection in some situations. – TE’s definition

processing facility
A single production processing facility, TE’s definition
A plant employed in carrying out chemical processes, including the required supporting
processes – RDL’s definition from class Process Plant. This class links to MPR through
nomenclature Process unit.
Pål: Updated in RDL with RDL definition applying. What is the difference between this and “plant
– processing”?
trunkline
A single trunkline – TE’s definition
No corresponding class found in the RDL

example Name: budget and others are represented as String: allocated
Category “Period type”, Period Kind Nomenclature
06:00(Not part of the nomenclature)

The average per day over the period from the beginning of the month to the end of the report
period – TE’s definition

installation, field, licence, etc. to a given date. – RDL’s definition

begins and ends at noon - use report start/end instead. This cannot be used for a reporting period
that is greater than 24 hours. – TE’s definition

CREATE NEW CLASS: INCLUDE TIMEZONE IN DEFINITION
total cumulative(Not part of the nomenclature)
A period with no beginning that ends at the end of the report period. – TE’s definition
A corresponding class does currently not exist in the RDL.
Comment on TE’s definition:
A cumulative time period seems strange. No starting point means that the time period is lacking a
reference point. Cumulative production is more plausible. The total cumulative production from
start up of the field until today, but this is an amount of a product and not a time period. The time
period is life to date.

Category “Sales Flow Part”, Flow Balance Nomenclature
A difficult category. Currently we have only tried to fit the definitions of existing classes to the
terms, but it may be necessary to re – implement the entire category.
As previously stated a difficult category. A suggestion is to re-implement these terms in
accordance with our other updates, and create a new Sales Flow Nomenclature. In the following
the comparison is made from the elements in the Flow Balance Nomenclature.
adjusted closing
Exists in the nomenclature as “Adjustments prev period” with content “adjusted closing”. The
nomenclature name ought to be similar to the xml enumeration name
No definition has been provided by TE.
An amount that is a change in (overriding) an earlier reported value in some past period. This is a
correction of figures and does not imply a movement or transaction – RDL’s definition
closing balance
A volume that is the total volume on stock at the end of a time period. – TE’s definition
An amount that is the volume, mass or energy of a product in stock at the end of the report
period. – RDL’s definition
closing storage inventory
Exists in the nomenclature as “Closing inventory in storage” with content “closing storage
inventory”. The nomenclature name ought to be similar to the xml enumeration name
A closing storage balance that is adjusted according to imbalance at end of period. – TE’s
definition
An amount that is the adjusted volume, mass or energy of a product in stock at end of the report
period, i.e. a closing storage balance that has been adjusted according to the partial completed
liftings. – RDL’s definition

A volume that is the total volume of a hydrocarbon product that is exported from a stock within a
given time period. – TE’s definition
An amount that is the volume, mass or energy of a product that has been withdrawn/taken out of
the product stock within the report period. – RDL’s definition
gain/loss
Exists in the nomenclature as “Gains/losses” with content “gain/loss”. The nomenclature name
ought to be similar to the xml enumeration name
A volume that is a lack of proper proportion or relation between the corresponding input and
liftings transactions. – TE’s definition
An amount that is the proper propotion or relation between the corresponding input and lifting
transactions of a product volume, mass or energy within the report period. – RDL’s definition
Comment definitions:
The two definitions are negations of each other.

A volume that is the total volume of additions to a stock within a given time period. – TE’s
definition
An amount that is the volume, mass or energy of a product that has been added to the stock
within the report period. – RDL’s definition

ought to be similar to the xml enumeration name. In this case the xml enumerations “completed
liftings” and “lifted” is mixed up in the same nomenclature
No definition has been provided by TE.
An amount that is the volume, mass or energy of a product that has been withdrawn/taken out of
the product stock within the report period. – RDL’s definition
