Dear Silcoatian,
Silcoatians’ Summer Reunion Lunch
Saturday 17th June, 12.00pm for 12.30pm in the School Dining Hall
You are warmly invited to attend this year’s Silcoatians’ Reunion Lunch on Saturday 17th June.
Drinks will be available in the Dining Hall from midday and hopefully the weather will allow us
to be outside before we sit down for lunch. The cost of the ticket is £20, which includes food,
wine and soft drinks. There were more than fifty people at last year’s lunch, which was a
lovely occasion – a great chance to catch up with old friends and former teachers and to see
the School as it is today.
This year, our guest is Richard Fenn who has more than 34 years of service to the School and
he would be delighted to meet up with any of his former students who can be here on 17 th
June.
The annual cricket match this year is being played on the evening of Friday 9 th June and is
being organised once again by Anand Mistry: Anand can be contacted at Silcoates by phone on
the number below, or by emailing [email protected]. The usual tennis match,
which will be held at school on the morning of Saturday 10th June, is being organised by Nick
Wilkes: Nick can be contacted by emailing [email protected].

Memorial Service – John C Baggaley (1931-2017)
You are invited to attend the Memorial Service for our former Headmaster on Saturday 17 th June
at 11.00am in the School Chapel.
The service will be led by the School Chaplain, Revd Dr Janet Lees and tributes will be led by
Professor Clyde Binfield OBE, former Chair of Governors, and David Dinmore MBE DL, who was
Silcoates Bursar and Clerk to the Governors.
Following the service, there will be a buffet lunch held in the School, to which you are cordially
invited, as detailed on the separate notice.
You are invited to attend the service and the lunch, or just the service or just the lunch.
We hope that you will join us on 17th June.
