How To Make A Karaoke Using Karafun This tutorial shows how to make a karaoke file with Karafun Editor, using an mp3. Step 1: You need a song mp3 file, a picture (image) or photo, and a txt file of the lyrics. Step 2: Download the Karafun editor (right click) www.finchpark.com/courses/software. Step 3: Install the software: Step 4: Open the software. Step 5: Right click on the top bar, next to “KaraFun”. Step 6: Select “KaraFun Editor”. Step 7: Click on the little book icon . This is the library: Step 8: Click “Add” and then upload your mp3 file into the library. You can also upload your picture (image) or photo. Click on “Close” when you have finished. Step 9: 2) Close and click the little speaker (beside the books). This gives you two options. To load the song as embedded with the file (so you can travel with it) or just to link to the song. Chose “Source in the Library”. Click “OK”. Step 10: Look at the original screen and click on the box “Image”. Now you can choose your image file or photo that is in the library. This will be your background image. Step 11: Double-Click anywhere in the “Vertical text” yellow area. A box will open up. This is where you put the lyrics. Copy the lyrics and paste here. Make sure each line is only 5/6 words. Step 12: Now you are ready to record! Look at the top of the editor. You will see a red button. This begins the cueing of words with music process. Now, start the song and using the space bar, drop the words into the text area, as you hear them sung. Don't worry if it isn't perfect! Afterwards, you can record again! Drop the words by hitting the space bar when you hear them. They will drop along the horizontal bar... Step 13: Bring the song back to start and play it. You will see the words appear on the little screen and then light up as they are sung. Use the display editor functions on the right to change font, entry, exit, colours etc......This is what you will see... Step 14: Save the file (File, Save). Step 15: You can change the colors, font size, and text. Hints: Chose songs with a lot of repetition. If you want to create a CLOZE file, so students can listen for the lyrics. Use ------ to replace each letter of the original word.
