The following informal learning spaces can be negotiated for use in conjunction with any of the formal spaces listed above:
Informal spaces available for no extra charge
Space description
VDEI foyer/ kitchenette
The VDEI foyer/ kitchenette is a small entrance and foyer area. This
space is to be used for participant registration, morning and afternoon
tea as well as display areas. Some foot traffic occurs during school
hours.
Outdoor deck space
The outdoor deck space is an outdoor decking area with built in seating
seat up to 30 with more standing room. The space also has tables and
stools for use during lunch and break times.

$20-$35pp for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea (tailored to budget)
Cleaning
$20 standard
$200-$350 heavy duty, could include carpet steam cleaning
*Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be charged to all organisations and contractors registered for GST.
Hours of operation
Business Hours 8.30am -5.00pm
Half day (up to 3.5 hrs)

Twilight bookings (0-2 hours, 5.00pm-7.00pm)
After 7pm: additional 30 minute is charged as stated in the rates above from Monday to Friday
After hours bookings
The Learning Centre can be made available by negotiation only and is available for after hour bookings at the rates indicated
above. The after-hours charges as above apply:
Transportation and car parking
No participant parking is provided, however many public transport options surround the site, as well at metered street parking
and secure all-day parking nearby. Disable parking is available and should be organised when booking by the booking
coordinator.
Catering and participant materials
Due to the high level of technical equipment and the standard of furnishings, VDEI Learning Spaces are food and beverage
free environments. Food can only be consumed in the foyer or decking areas.
Bottled or sealed drinks can be consumed throughout the facility and chilled water is provided in the foyer of the facility. Catering
and participant resources can be purchased at an additional cost to the learning space booking.
Professional/Corporate bookings
All external organisations with have registered ABNs and who make profit will be charged at professional/corporate rates. All
professional bookings requiring catering must order through VDEI and all charges are quoted in advance per person within the
budget of the booking organisation.

Tours of the facility
A tour of the facility, of up to 1 hours duration, can be organised for a nominal fee to cover administrative costs.
The tour will incorporate an information package for all delegates and if requested a presentation on the history and purpose
of the institute can also be provided. Tours can be made by prior arrangement with the VDEI booking manager.
