If your child is receiving a special mention you will In the very last newsletter it was reported that the cross country was successful and that the Rotherham finals were to be held at Herringthorpe Stadium with 4 Crags students representing Maltby. They all did the school proud. There has also been the Year 5 and 6 football competition held on the new Astroturf of the Maltby Academy and the night after saw teams from Year 3 and 4 and Key Stage 2 girls competing against the other 4 Maltby family schools. Unfortunately none of the Crags teams qualified for the Rotherham finals but Mr Vickers and Mr Wallace would like to thank all the children who represented school and all the parents who came to watch and cheered the teams on. Last week also saw the Maltby Cluster Matball competition where a team of 10 Crags students from the Matball after school club travelled to the Maltby Academy sports centre to take on the other 3 family schools. Another closely run contest unfolded however, we did not qualify for the Rotherham finals.
