Returning to School after Sickness
Can we please remind all parents that if their
child has suffered from vomiting or diarrhoea
he/she should not return to school for 48 hours
after the last bout of sickness or diarrhoea.
We appreciate that in some instances the child
might feel well – but sickness and diarrhoea are
classed as infectious illnesses and we have to
adhere to the health and safety guidance to
protect all children and staff in school.
If your child is taking prescribed medication the
school are able to administer this on your
behalf, please ensure that you complete an
authorisation form at the school office.
Also please would you inform school if your
child has any allergies that we need to be aware
of.
receive a written invitation from the
classteacher.

In the very last newsletter it was reported that the
cross country was successful and that the
Rotherham finals were to be held at Herringthorpe
Stadium with 4 Crags students representing Maltby.
They all did the school proud.
There has also been the Year 5 and 6 football
competition held on the new Astroturf of the Maltby
Academy and the night after saw teams from Year 3
and 4 and Key Stage 2 girls competing against the
other 4 Maltby family schools. Unfortunately none
of the Crags teams qualified for the Rotherham finals
but Mr Vickers and Mr Wallace would like to thank
all the children who represented school and all the
parents who came to watch and cheered the teams
on.
Last week also saw the Maltby Cluster Matball
competition where a team of 10 Crags students from
the Matball after school club travelled to the Maltby
Academy sports centre to take on the other 3 family
schools. Another closely run contest unfolded
however, we did not qualify for the Rotherham
finals.
Breakfast Club
Please can we remind parents that
breakfast club opens at 8:00 a.m.
Please do not bring or send your child
to school before it opens as the doors
will not have been opened and there are
no staff on duty until 8:00 a.m.
becau8se they are preparing breakfast
for the children.
