Rowland Arena Free Riding 2012 Riding over “Lunch hour” (appx. 12:30 – 2pm): • Mike/Tractor ALWAYS has first priority • After tractor is finished, riders have priority over anyone else Mon/Wed Evening Free Riding: • 6 – 8pm: riders have priority over everyone else • 8 – 9pm: longeing and long‐lining has priority (riding can take priority if an instructor/supervisor is present on campus) T/Thurs Evening Free Riding: • 8 – 9pm: longeing and long‐lining has priority over everyone else (riding can take priority if an instructor/supervisor is present on campus) Friday Free Riding: • 9am – 5pm: riders have priority Saturday/Sunday Free Riding: • 10am – 12pm: riders have priority • 12pm – 12:30: NO RIDING (unless you are certain that a supervisor is present on campus) • 1pm – 6pm: riders have priority Rowland Arena Free Riding 2012 ¾ Free riding may occur only when an approved faculty member is present on campus to supervise. ¾ In Rowland Arena, a rider must be accompanied by at least one other human (mounted or unmounted). No riding by yourself. ¾ ALWAYS keep the safety of a rider and horse as first priority during any work or riding. If someone’s horse is having trouble with something, please be courteous in stopping what you are doing until they are able to leave the arena or work something out. ¾ These times are subject to change during horse shows, clinics, reserved arena times, etc. ¾ If you are asked to stop what you are doing because you are not in accordance with the above rules, please be polite and professional in following the posted rules and guidelines.
