Old Business:
Meet and Greet of Water Utilities – Kim, Wayne and Graham attended this meeting. It was
informative, and there is interest to do this again in the future.
Aberdeen Southwest Water Utility – had a meeting with them last week, to finalize all the plans
to take over their utility. Jon Taylor has contacted the lawyers to complete the Letter of Intent, as well as
draw up the final agreement between the two utilities. We are going to get this moving as quickly as
possible. Janet is waiting for information from Jon Taylor to continue with making up agreements for
their subscribes to sign prior to us taking over the utility.
BCF update – currently there is no grant available. Janet was told that they would let the
municipalities know when they were taking more applications and so we should keep in contact with
our municipalities.
Boehm infill project – discuss the invoice to PCS for this project.
New Business:
Employee wages – Wilma Marissen – (Motion 11-2016) Ken Kruger made a motion to increase
Wilma’s wage from $13.00/hr to $14.50, retroactive to May 1. Seconded by Rene Labrecque . Carried.
Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation – (Motion 12-2016) Ken Kruger made a motion that
Saskatoon Gun Club and Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation jointly apply for water, since they are on
separate titles, there would be a caveat on both titles that should either of the titles be sold in the future
the water connection between the properties would be severed. All costs incurred in this regard will be
paid by Saskatoon Gun Club and Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation. Seconded by Rene Labrecque.
Carried.
Fred VanLanduyt – development – right across the road from Mission Ridge – they have given a
deposit in 2010, are wondering if there is water available to them. They need this approval from us in
order to go back to the RM to get approved. At this point we can’t allocate any water to this
development without doing a feasibility study.
Jansen infill – financing – he is looking to construct 5 lots, the quote given to him was
$130,000.00, he is wondering if the Utility would finance him. (Motion 13-2016) Rene Labrecque made
a motion to offer financing for the installation of curbstops on his 5 lots. Seconded by Ken Kruger.
Carried.
Truckfill – additional pin numbers – (Motion 14-2016) Bob Macpherson made a motion to
upgrade our truckfill licenses to 250. Seconded by Wayne Mason. Carried.
RM of Blucher – dust control – (Motion 15-2016) Rene Labrecque made a motion to get the RM
of Blucher to put dust control in front of Harold Heinrich’s yard. Seconded by Bob Macpherson. Carried.
Manhatten Water Utility – testing – will get more information to see if they are actually
interested in having someone test their water for them on a regular basis.
Dundurn Water Utility – tour pumphouse with truckfill – July 13th in the afternoon they are
going to be coming to visit our Bergheim pumphouse.
Meeting adjourned at 11:30 pm by Wayne Mason.
