Queen of the Diamonds Tournament.

All games will be played at the Frontier Sports Complex in Naperville near the intersection of Rt. 59 and 95th
Behind Neuqua Valley High School at 3380 Cedar Glade Road. Please be aware of Parking Restrictions behind
businesses located just west of Field 5 and Field 6. Use Neuqua Valley HS parking and East Parking Lot ONLY.
AGAIN, there is absolutely NO Parking OR Drop-Off in the west lot above Field 5 and Field 6. Please share this
information with parents and guests.
All Teams are guaranteed 4 games Weather Permitting. In the event of Weather Delays or Postponement,
games may be shortened and Loser Bracket may be eliminated in order to establish a tournament champion.
POOL PLAY:
Both 14U and 16U Pool Games will begin Friday, June 10th .
14U teams begin play at 9:00am in one of four Pools on eight fields.
16U teams begin play at 4:00pm in one of five Pools on six fields.
Pool games are scheduled to complete on Friday.
BRACKET PLAY:
14U Teams - Double Elimination starts Friday afternoon at 1:30pm for all 14U teams with one game. Bracket Play
resumes Saturday with the second games starting at 4:00pm. Sunday starts at 9:00am for the last 6 remaining teams
with the Championship game scheduled at 3:00pm.
16U Teams - Double Elimination starts Saturday morning at 8:00am for 8 teams and 10:00am for the remaining 12
teams. Sunday starts at 9:00am for the last 8 remaining teams with the Championship game scheduled at 5:00pm.
All Team Managers must check-in at least one hour prior to first Pool Game.
Teams must present Proof of Insurance, ASA Player or Parent Signed Team Roster, and ACE Certification.
ASA Phot ID for Players accepted in place of Birth Certificates. Birth Certificates in possession if Non Photo ID
All Teams must be ASA Sanctioned and one Coach ACE Certified
TOURNAMENT RULES
1. 2016 ASA Rules apply / Line-Up sheets to be filled out completely with full names and numbers
2. ASA helmet and facemask and bat rules apply
3. Seven inning games with a time limit of 1 hour and 15 minutes No New Inning for Pool Play
 Pool Play games cannot end in a tie. A winner of each game must be established
4. Seven Inning Elimination will be 1 hour 40 minutes No New Inning. Drop Dead reverts at 1 hour 50 minutes
 No time limit for Championship Games | Higher Seed is Home team – Coin Flip if Tied
5. International tie breaker in effect to start the 8th inning for Elimination or if tied at the end of time limit
6. One complete game constitutes a tournament. Every effort will be made to complete the tournament
 Times and Time Limits could change due to weather
7. Run Rules will be 15 runs after 3 innings / 12 runs after 4 innings / 8 runs after 5 innings
8. All games are played on a non-protest basis. Umpire decisions are FINAL
9. Pool Play: Coin flip will determine Home Team. Team listed on top occupies 1st Base Dugout
10. Bracket Play: Higher Seed is the Home Team and occupies the 3rd Base Dugout
 If same seed a coin flip will determine Home Team
11. Home Team is the Official Scorekeeper and Scorebook
12. ASA Sanctioned Umpires
13. NO hitting balls into any fence when warming up
14. NO infield practice or pitcher warm-up on field when ground crew is on the field
15. Good Sportsmanship is expected at all times
16. All teams will be ready to play 20 minutes prior to game time. Game time is forfeit time
17. Forfeited game score will be 7-0
18. During the game pitcher will have 5 warm-up pitches with no infield practice after 1st inning
19. Pool Play Games: Continuous Batting Order and Free Substitution IF ELECTED at start of game.
20. Bracket Play: ASA Line-Up restrictions throughout

Rules may be subject to change at the discretion of the Tournament Director in the case of inclement weather
It is the responsibility of each Manager to stay in contact with the Site Director in the case of play disruption
Please check boards and websites for updated information in these cases
Players and coaches are asked to clear respective dugout and bleacher area upon completion of game
All ASA Official / Signed Rosters will be collected at Check-In and Mailed to Tom O’Neill, JO Commissioner
