The Graded Unit 2 is project based, the project
allows the learner to work independently on a
case study.
It is split into three sections
 Planning (Theory – 10%)
 Developing (Computational & Theory – 75%)
 Evaluation (Theory – 15%)

 Introducing the Case Study
– All Sections of the case study discussed
– Explain Planning Section
– Scenario to help them relate “key factors”
– Deadlines issued – all sections
– November – March
– Avoid a clash with GU3
Developing Section
 Flexible Delivery
– MADM & MAPC integration
– MADM Outcome 1 – Relevant Costing
– MADM Outcome 5 – Capital Investment
Appraisal
– 2012/2013 – MAPC Outcome 1- ABC
– Progress meetings throughout (approx 2-3)
– Reasonable help - VLE

 Students submitted a hard copy
 Electronic copy was uploaded to VLE
 Allows the marker to comment on errors
 Allows the tracking of consequential errors
