Step 1: Install VMware: Remote Access to EPIC & the LCMC Health
Network
1) Verify your Operating System version:
a) Windows (32-bit or 64-bit):
i) Open the Control Panel
ii) Double Click on the SYSTEM hyperlink
b) MAC OS
i) Hover over the Apple icon (top left). Select ABOUT THIS MAC.
2) Click here to download VMware Horizon Client. From the row of the matching Operating System
(see in the Product column) select the GO TO DOWNLOADS hyperlink. RUN.
Complete VMware URL if needed to copy/paste into browser:

Follow all prompts accepting all defaults.
When prompted for Default View Connection Server, enter: mydesktop.lcmchealth.org
Continue to accept all defaults. When complete, restart your computer.
On your desktop will be the VMware icon.
7) Login using your LCMC Health User ID & Password.
LCMC USER NAME: firstname.lastname (no special characters (i.e. -, ‘, etc.) or spaces)
LCMC PASSWORD will either be:
 Your password used to login at Children’s/Touro or
 Your EPIC password if you do not/have not worked at Children’s/Touro
DOMAIN: LCMC Health
IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO LOGIN FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS ABOVE, PLEASE CALL THE HELP DESK: 702-HELP (4357).
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PROCEED FURTHER UNTIL YOU CALL THE HELP DESK TO RESOLVE THE LOGIN ISSUE.
8) If you forgot to enter the default server when installing VMware, select +New Server. Enter or
copy/paste: mydesktop.lcmchealth.org. Otherwise, skip to step 9.

9) Select UMC-Clinical-Desktop icon. Your virtual desktop will load.
10) Select the EPIC production icon and login to EPIC with your EPIC User ID & LCMC Password.
Step 2: You must be on the LCMCHealth Network to access
MyInfo
1) In the address bar of your web-browser, type myinfo.lcmchealth.org.
2) Click on the DIRECTORY UPDATE hyperlink to setup your LCMC ID security questions:

ENTER YOUR LCMC CREDENTIALS
User Name: firstname.lastname
Password: Your LCMC Password
Click LOG IN
4) Select the PASSWORD MANAGEMENT tab.

5) Select the SECURITY QUESTIONS button to set your security questions & answers.
a) To continue, enter your current password and Submit.
b) Click the drop down arrow to select a question. Type the answer in the box below the
question. Continue until all questions are answered, then click Submit and log off.
Step 3: Login to EPIC
From the LCMC desktop, login to EPIC.
USER NAME & PASSWORD will be either:
1. Your LSU User ID, if that’s what you have always used to login to EPIC & your LSU Password.
OR
2. Your LCMC User ID (firstname.lastname) if you have never logged in to EPIC as a UMCNO
affiliate & the password you created when you activated your LCMC Network account.
ON JUNE 11, WHEN YOU LOGIN TO EPIC, ALL USERS WILL USE
THEIR CURRENT EPIC USER NAME & THEIR LCMC PASSWORD.
IF YOUR LCMC PASSWORD IS DIFFERENT FROM YOUR EPIC
PASSWORD, BE SURE TO USE YOUR LCMC PASSWORD.

A: Reset Password
LCMC Health Password
1) Remotely:
a) Login to VMware Virtual Desktop.
b) In the address bar of your web-browser, type myinfo. MyInfo.lcmchealth.org/ will appear.
c) Select the Password Reset hyperlink.

d) Enter USER NAME and the code shown. Continue.
e) Complete all fields and security questions as required.
2) If you cannot remember your password, call the Help Desk at 702-HELP.
LSU HCSD Password
As a reminder to all current LSU Faculty, Fellows, Residents, Affiliates,
Instructors, and Students, you will use your LSU ID & LCMC password to
login to EPIC.
However, you will still need to maintain your LSU HCSD password in order to access LSU email and
the LSU Network.
