New Sponsor
It gives me great pleasure to announce that SEPF Region 1 has
secured a new sponsor. Rileys Ltd, with over 165 clubs, are
probably the biggest name in Pool and Snooker in the UK, and have
recently extended their in-club services to include Poker.
Rileys have two clubs in Aberdeen. By May, there will be six
traditional style pool tables installed at their Bridge Place club, next
to Aberdeen’s bus and train stations.
In 2008, this will provide a venue for:
• Men’s Premier Section Events
• Men’s Aberdeen Section Events
• North East 5-Man Team Event
• North East Singles Event
• North East Scotch Doubles Event
• Junior’s Tour Section Events
• Other SEPF National Events

Changes to the Tour Structure
Since the men’s tour split into two regions in 2007, the total number of tour
members increased to 118 (73 in Region 1 - 45 in Region 2).
Throughout the first season, it became obvious that there were some improvements
which could be made to the tour to suit the players, so the structure is changing:
• The Region 1 Tour is being merged with the NESPT Tour. The NESPT will no longer exist
• The ranking lists will be merged to ensure players are ranked accordingly
• The new look Region 1 Tour will be divided into sections
• All tour events will be played over one day
• Entry fees are reduced where possible
• Events are held in local venues meaning less travelling
• All players have an even fairer chance to qualify for the Scotland Squad
