Wellington Wave Soccer Club Player Agreement You have been selected to join the Wellington Wave Soccer Club (WSC) for the 201__-201__ season. Our coaches and the Board of Directors hope this will be an enjoyable and productive year for you and your family. As part of this process, we want to ensure that you are fully aware and understand the commitments WSC is making to you, along with your obligations to WSC and your team as a result of accepting the position. Every parent and player will be required to acknowledge their understanding of these mutual expectations. Accepting the position offered obligates each player to pay the full non-refundable club registration fees as outlined on the club’s registration application. The registration fee includes FYSA registration, registration and referee fees for one season of league play, registration for the WSC team for State Cup play or Regional Cup play, coaching fees from August 1st to the end of state cup play, registration for WSC’s Champions Training Program, and Keeper Training Program. The fee does not include uniforms or additional league or tournament expenses generated team by participating in any additional leagues or tournaments. See WSC Fee Payment Form for payment options. The fee is non-refundable regardless of the player leaving the WSC prior to the end of State Cup play. Players not meeting their financial obligations on time may have penalties imposed, including the holding of the players pass or preventing their participation in games and/or training. WSC Will Provide The Following WSC will provide a comprehensive, curriculum based soccer program, which is designed to maximize each player’s fullest potential. Players will be assigned to a team, led by a Head Coach and overseen by the Director of Coaching (DOC) throughout the season. Players and coaches will participant in ongoing training programs provided by WSC to ensure all participants grow during the year. The DOC will be monitoring the team’s training and the coaching leadership throughout the year making adjustments when needed to ensure productivity. The club will also provide club wide training through the Champion’s Training Program that will run from August to May. In an effort to develop every player, teams will train and play games. Each team will be entered into a league that meets their best competitive ability determined by the DOC and the team’s Head Coach. The team may decide, with the approval of the DOC, to enter a second league and the additional league expenses will be the responsibility of the team to share. Where appropriate, WSC will enter teams in the applicable FYSA Region or State Cup events. WSC will pay the entrée fee for this event but the team must pay for the referee fees, associated bonds and travel expenses associated with the event. WSC has entered into an agreement with Addidas for the 2009-2011 seasons. Uniform discounts have been negotiated with Addidas to ensure the best possible pricing for members. Because of this agreement Uniform packages and individual pieces must be ordered through the club’s uniform coordinator and designated supplier. Players are responsible to order and pay for their uniforms through team mangers and those fees must be paid by the player before they can be picked up. Player and Parent Responsibilities WSC is a competitive soccer club; there is no guarantee of minimum playing time. Players and parents are expected to make team training sessions a priority, ensuring that players regularly attend practice and games according to the team schedule coordinated by the coach and team manager. Travel soccer requires a higher level of commitment then noncompetitive programs. All players and parents are expected to be respectful of this mutual obligation. Team expenses will include, but are not limited to tournament costs and travel associated with tournaments, coaches travel reimbursement, and referee fees (for non club league play). Team expenses will be divided equally by the team’s registered players. The team may seek to receive donations, sponsorships and/or coordinate fundraising activities that meet WSC fundraising policies as noted in the WSC By-Laws. These funds are to be deposited into the team’s WSC account and should a player leave the club any unused amount remains in the team account. Each player and parent must read the FYSA and Village of Wellington Code of Ethics, and agrees to abide by those requirements fully. WSC is a FYSA affiliated club. Players and parents will conduct themselves in accordance with WSC and FYSA policies and rules at all times. All are to act in a respectful manner at practices, games, and all club events maintaining the integrity of our team and our Club. By signing below, each player and parent accepts their position with WSC and agrees to abide by these outlined agreements. Failure to abide may result in suspension or release from the club. Each player is responsible to pay a $100.00 fundraising fee which is included in the club fees. Each player’s family is also required to work approximately 4 to 6 hrs. during the year to aid the club in its sponsored event.
