Momentum Schools Cricket Festival 2014
Cricket Namibia, in conjunction with Momentum hosted the Momentum Schools Cricket festival,
from the 25th of August through to the 29th.
This years event was a major success, as all teams were very competitive and matches were
extremely close.
There was incredible interest from the public this year, as the press were all over the festival.
There was some more excitement added this year, with Botswana sending their U17 squad, who
proved to be a very competitive team after finishing third in the festival.
This festival is seen as a vital step in preparation for selecting the best available team for the U19
World Cup Qualifiers in 2015, and high standards were met.
Cricket Namibia can with confidence say that the 2014 Momentum Schools festival has really and
truly put cricket on the schools map, and has certainly become an event for players to look forward
to.
