Gold Crown/SoCo 5th – 8th Grade Competitive Basketball League
SoCo/Gold Crown 4th – 8th Grade Winter League in Colorado Springs (New)






















Gold Crown/SoCo 5th – 8th Grade Competitive League
Registration: September 3 - November 15, 2013.
Season: January 4 - February 23, 2014 (majority of games are on Sundays with some Saturdays as gym
availability dictates).
Divisions: Each boys and girls grade level will feature Gold and Silver divisions to balance competition.
Roster Rules: Gold Crown features “60 Percent Roster Rules” for all public, private and charter school teams.
Team Fee: $1,175/team. Scholarship assistance is available for teams/individuals in need; Gold Crown and SoCo
will never turn a team away that cannot afford fees.
Gym Time Commitment: All participating teams are required to provide supervised gym time. Bundle and Save:
our “all-inclusive” option of $1,350 per team includes both the league fee and gym time commitment (gym
rental/supervision costs). “All-Inclusive” game sites include the Gold Crown Field House as well as sites in
Southern and Northern Colorado.
Gold Crown/SoCo 5th – 8th Grade Competitive League: Program Features
The widest scope of competition of any league in Colorado, including teams across the Denver Metro area as well
as Southern and Northern Colorado.
Regionalized scheduling to minimize travel when possible; game sites will include the Gold Crown Field House,
Colorado’s premier basketball facility, as well as high school and middle school gyms across the Front Range
including Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
Using a doubleheader format, all teams will play a 14-game schedule. Teams will play 12 regular season games
and a minimum of 2 games in the postseason tournament. Teams advancing in the postseason tournament
playoffs could play an additional 1-4 games for a total of 18 games. Note: The postseason tournament is included
in each team’s league fee.
Every player and coach receives an official “20th Anniversary” league T-shirt.
Teams receive Denver Nuggets tickets as part of their league fees.
Team fee includes liability insurance for all participating teams.
Postseason coach’s social at the Pepsi Center (includes free tickets to a Nuggets game)
SoCo/Gold Crown 4th – 8th Grade Winter League (New)
Registration: September 3 - November 15, 2013.
Season: January 5 - February 9, 2014 (all games played on Sundays).
Divisions/Rosters: Each boys and girls grade level will feature one division only and there are no roster guidelines
for this league (i.e. no 60% rule).
Team Fee: $975/team. Scholarship assistance is available for teams/individuals in need; Gold Crown and SoCo
will never turn a team away that cannot afford fees.
Gym Time Commitment: Teams are not required to submit gym time for games as SoCo and Gold Crown will
reserve all game sites. However, teams are responsible for securing their own practice time.
SoCo/Gold Crown 4th – 8th Grade Winter League: Program Features
All games will be played at high schools and middle schools in Colorado Springs.
Using a doubleheader format, all teams will play an 11-game schedule. Teams will play 10 regular season games
and a minimum of 1 game in the postseason tournament. Teams advancing in the postseason tournament
playoffs could play an additional 1-2 games for a total of 13 games. Note: The postseason tournament is included
in each team’s league fee.
Team fee includes liability insurance for all participating teams.
