2017 Wailea Open Tennis Championships

Rules
1. Entries with complete fees must be received by 5 p.m. Saturday, May 20th. Mailing address: Wailea Tennis
Club, 131 Wailea Ike Place, Wailea, HI, 96753. Attn: Patrik Ekstrand. Cash, Credit Card, and Checks will be
accepted at the Wailea Tennis Club Pro Shop. Must use credit card for online registration.
2. Draws will posted online at the USTA site Wednesday May 24th after 3 p.m. The tournament # is 200001817. A link
on waileatennis.com will direct you to draws.
3. USTA Rules will govern the tournament. The USTA code of conduct will be in effect.
USTA number required: applications without a USTA number will not be accepted.
4. All matches will be best of three sets. All matches through the quarter finals will be two full
sets with a 10 point match tie break in lieu of the third set. The Semi-finals and finals will
be the best of three full sets. The 12-point tie-break will be played at 6 games all.
5. Players must check in 15 minutes prior to start of match. Warm-up limited to 5 minutes. Be
prepared to play as many matches as necessary each day. If you have other priorities which
might conflict with scheduled matches, please do not enter.
6. Proper tennis attire is required.
7. Tournament Director reserves the right to make necessary changes to draws/divisions.
Entry Fees
Entry Fees may be submitted online at waileatennis.com or at the WTC Pro Shop by check, cash, or card. Please
make checks payable to Wailea Tennis Club. The fee online is $71.99 for 1 event; $72.50 for 2 events. Entry fee paid
at WTC Pro Shop is $67.71. Entry fee includes one or two events (1 singles/1 doubles or 1 doubles/1 mixed doubles),
gift, and player’s buffet Saturday 11:00-4:00 p.m. Mail checks to Wailea Tennis Club, attn: Patrik Ekstrand, 131 Wailea
Ike Place, Wailea, HI, 96753. Late applications will be accepted at a higher entry fee on May 21th only. Fees for late
entries are $80/person and must be paid in person only.

the undersigned hereby releases Wailea Golf LLC, GPLC, GolfBC, WCA, USTA, HPS a sponsor(s) from any and all liability from claims of any kind or nature,
which relates to or arises from the undersigned’s participation in the Wailea Tennis Championships.
