In consideration of being allowed to participate in ice hockey programs
(“Programs”) at Galactic Ice Rink (“The Facility”), the participant, do
hereby agree, to the fullest extent permitted by law, as follows: 1) TO
WAIVE ALL CLAIMS that they have or may have against the Facility arising
out of the Participants participation in the Programs and/or the use of
any equipment provided by the Facility (“Equipment”). The Participant
specifically understand that they are releasing any and all claims that
arise or may arise from any negligent acts of conduct of the Facility, its
owners, affiliates, operators, employees, agents, and/or officers. 2) TO
ASSUME ALL RISKS of participation in the programs and using Equipment,
even those caused by the negligent acts or conduct of the Facility, its
owners, affiliates, operators, employees, agents, and/or officers. The
Participant understand that the risks of participating in the Programs and
use the Equipment may be both foreseen and unforeseen and include
serious physical injury and/or death. 3) TO RELEASE the Facility, its owners, affiliates, operators, employees, agents, and/or officers from all
liability for any loss, damage, injury, death, or expense that the Participant (or his/her next of kin) may suffer, arising our of his/her participation in the Programs and/or use of the Equipment.

inside Galactic Ice. All games are
intended to be in a fun and friendly
environment. Any player who does not
follow the rules will be asked to leave.

Adult League Hockey
We will consistently have two competitive
leagues, A and B. If there are enough sign
ups, we would like to have a Recreational
League as well. Adult League is for men and
women, 18 and older. You may sign up individually or with a team. Galactic Ice reserves the right to move teams and/or players among divisions and teams in order to
create parity. Registration may be completed
on the back of this brochure, or online at
www.leaguelineup.com/galacticice.
Divisions
Competitive - A and B League
- For the more experienced player
- Individual Statistics
- Playoffs will be determined based on the
number of teams in each league
- Player awards at the end of the season
Recreational - More Relaxed
- For players new to hockey
- No player statistics
- No playoffs
- Games recorded only as Win/Loss
Adult League Format
- 20 game season, 17 minute periods
- 2 minute penalties
- Stop clock last 1 minute of play, if the
score is within 2 goals.
- No timeouts.
- Individual player fee: $200
- Teams fee: You must have at least 12
players, maximum of 18. Cost: $2500
- Goalies: Free! (They cannot skate out).
- All fees are non-refundable.
- A rostered player must play in at least 6
regular season games in order to qualify
for playoffs.
- Each team is able to pick their jersey
color, but it must be approved by the
league commissioner so there are no duplicates.
- Players must wear the same color jersey
that the team selected prior to the season.
- Players must wear full equipment, including a half shield or cage.
- Players must have a numbers on their
jerseys and no duplicate numbers on the
same team.
Adult League Rules
- Every game you must sign in at the front
counter, and record your jersey number.
- No checking allowed. Checking whether
intentional or unintentional, will result in a
penalty.
- Players who receive three non coincidental penalties in one game will be ejected for
the remainder of that game.
- No one is allowed on the ice until the
Zamboni doors are closed - Failure to comply will result in a 4 minute, double minor
penalty, to start the game.
- Each team must have 5 players and a
goalie, or 6 players, to start the game - If
your team does not have the required players, the game clock will start following
warm ups - If your team does still not have
enough players after 5 minutes, your team
will forfeit.
- If the game ends in a tie, a three player
shoot out will commence, or until the
shootout is decided.
- If a playoff game ends in a tie, a sudden
death, full period will commence.
- Points: 2 pts for a win, 1 pt for a SO loss
