audiences who flow through the doors of our Information Centres dotted across the
Lake District National Park.
Your 30 second advert will be played every 20 minutes continuously throughout the
day on our full screen media displays located above our information desks. We do
have options to increase frequency depending on your advertising preference, ask
us about it.
We have a combined audience of nearly 1 million waiting to hear more about your
attraction, accommodation, event, product, produce or business. It’s a captive
audience looking to spend time and money, in the Lake District National Park and
throughout Cumbria.

Advertising terms and conditions
1. General
The following conditions apply to the placing of an order for the inclusion of an advertisement
on the Lake District National Park Authority’s information screens. Each order will form a
separate agreement and English law will apply. Any change to these conditions must be agreed
by us in writing (which means by exchange of letter or email). “You” means any person or
organisation placing an advertisement on your own account or on behalf of another.
2. Contents
You confirm that the advertisement complies with all applicable legislation, regulations and
codes of practice, including the codes supervised by the Advertising Standards Authority.
We may reject or require changes to any advertisement so as to comply with legal or moral
obligations placed on us or you; to avoid infringing the rights of a third party or any relevant
code of practice; or to meet our published production and quality specifications.
You confirm that:
• The showing of the advertisement will not breach any contract, infringe the copyright, trademark or other right of any third party and is not libellous of any person;
• all licences and consents from third parties necessary for the showing of the advertisement
have been obtained and paid for, including consent from living persons identified in copy or
pictures (photographic or otherwise) or if they are under 18 their parent or guardian;
• in respect of an investment advertisement, the contents have been approved by, or the
advertiser is, an authorised person within the meaning of the Financial Services Act 1986 as
amended or the advertisement is otherwise permitted under that Act.
3. Payment
All advertisements must be paid for within 30 days from the date shown on the invoice. The
price shall be the amount quoted by us plus VAT where applicable.
4. Cancellation
This contract is not subject to cancellation by you under any circumstances. We have the right
to cancel this contract should we deem the advertisement to be unsuitable for any reason.
Should this occur we accept no responsibility for any costs incurred by you.
5. Errors
Proofs, if supplied, are for your information only and transmission of your advertisement is
not subject to your approval. Except where we have been negligent, we shall not be liable
for an error or misprint that, in our reasonable opinion, does not materially detract from the
advertisement. We shall not be liable in any case for losses relating to any business or public
fundraising for you, such as lost customers, revenue or profit.
6. General
We do not guarantee a specific position for an advertisement and the positioning of the
advertisement is entirely at our discretion.
If an advertisement is placed in colour we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the finished colour
match. As long as the colours fall within commercial tolerances you agree that we have fulfilled
our obligations under this contract.
You will be liable to pay us for all costs, losses, expenses and damages of any kind suffered
or incurred by us as a result of legal claims or actions, actual or threatened, arising from the
advertiser’s breach of these conditions or the transmission of the advertisement, unless caused
by our own negligent act or failure.
