This tracking matrix shows how the current DDC translates to the proposed draft DDC. The left column represents the current organization of the DDC, the middle
column represents the location of those standards in the proposed draft, and the right column includes any comments related to the changes and reorganization.
More detailed information regarding changes is provided in footnotes in the proposed draft.
There are a number of blank cells in this matrix, since this matrix so far only represents the changes from Module 1, Districts and Uses. The table will continue to be
populated with the drafting of future modules. Cells that indicate content has been “carried forward” means the original content has been preserved in the
proposed draft without substantive changes; however, formatting, references, grammatical structure, and wording may have been modified for consistency and
clarity.
The current DDC is organized by 24 subchapters. The proposed DDC draft consolidates similar content into 10 subchapters as follows:
