And in this league, that can make a big difference," said Tech coach Kristy Curry, who will face off against hall of fame Texas coach Jody Conradt. "It's about to become judgment time for someone because it's all knotted up. There is about to be some separation, and you want your separation to be above, not below." Tech is coming off a somewhat successful road trip in which it edged Oklahoma State, 63-61, and fell to No. 6 Oklahoma, 86-81, in double overtime. The Lady Raiders would've loved to have won both games, but they came away from the split with more confidence and more comfort with their player rotation. In fact, Curry thinks Tech's current rotation is a big reason why the Lady Raiders have shown improvement as of late. "I think our team is very comfortable with our rotation right now," Curry said. "That's a big reason why we're having success, so why change it? We have no complaints with our rotation." Texas is expected to start three freshman today in Earnesia Williams, Brittainey Raven and Carla Cortijo. Williams, a 6-foot-1 forward, is the second-leading scorer on the team with an average of 9.2 points per game. The Longhorns, however, still lean heavily on senior forward Tiffany Jackson, whose 19.1 points per game is second in the Big 12 behind Oklahoma's Courtney Paris. Curry said she is concerned with the energy and aggressiveness UT displays at every position. A victory today would be key for the Lady Raiders, who play two straight on the road next week at Missouri on Wednesday and at Colorado on Saturday.
