Ufford Park Golf Club
DRESS STANDARDS
Visiting golfers are expected to follow the dress standards adhered to by Ufford Park Golf Club
members. The Golf Shop reserve the right to refuse access to the course to anyone not
appropriately dressed for the game of golf.
Men
Acceptable
Unacceptable
1. Collared Shirts Incl. Mock Turtle Neck
(must be tucked in)
2. Shorts (must be tailored)
3. Socks (must be above ankle)
4. Golf Shoes (soft spikes preferred)
Ladies - Similar to men and specifically:
Acceptable
1. Short or long sleeved top with or without
a collar
2. Sleeveless top with collar (collarless tops
must have sleeves)
3. Trainer socks
1. Tee Shirts (without collars or sleeves)
Football/Rugby Shirts
2. Denim Jeans, Track Suit or Shell Suit
Trousers
3. Trainer Socks (Shoe liners)
4. Non Golf Shoes (Trainers etc)
Unacceptable
1. Sleeveless and collarless tops
Junior - Boys and Girls
Follow the respective gender rules with any variations at the discretion of the professional.
ETIQUETTE
1.
Sharing of clubs is strictly not permitted.
2.
Replace all divots except on the tee.
3.
If you play out of a bunker, please rake it after use.
4.
Repair pitch marks.
5.
Adhere to all paths where provided and do not enter conservation areas.
6.
Do not play until it is safe to do so – Remember, it is your responsibility.
7.
Please ensure your mobile phone does not cause inconvenience to other golfers.
HELP TO AVOID SLOW PLAY
1.
Always be ready to play YOUR ball when clear to do so.
2.
Park your clubs at the exit of each green BEFORE putting out.
3.
Wave faster groups through.
4.
When playing match play, pick up when you lose the hole, or in Stableford, when you
cannot score. Do not putt out.
