About this award
The BABTAC & CIBTAC Contribution to the Industry Award 2017 has been chosen to recognise and celebrate
outstanding individuals who have contributed positively to our industry. This special award has been
developed as part of our 40th anniversary celebrations taking place throughout 2017, marking four decades
since BABTAC & CIBTAC were founded by a group of inspiring and pioneering industry professionals.
Who can enter this category?
You can nominate any individual/group/organisation you believe has made an outstanding contribution to
the industry, whether they have been in the industry for decades or just a couple of years.
What do our judges want to see?
Our judges want to find an outstanding individual/group/organisation who has made a significant and
positive contribution to the industry.
This person must have been working in the industry for a minimum of 18 months.
Nominees for this category are not limited to just those practicing in the industry, but rather anyone who
works within the industry in any capacity can be nominated for this category.
This person must reflect the core values of BABTAC & CIBTAC:
 To raise industry standards, encourage excellence and champion best practice
 Be a powerful, influencing force in the industry via advocacy and campaigning
 Go selflessly above and beyond the call of duty for the advancement of the industry in an ethical
and professional manner

What happens next?
1. The entry deadline is 28th February 2017. After the deadline, our judges will consider each nomination.
2. The finalists will be chosen upon judging of the application form, and they will be notified by the end
of May. Each finalist will then be interviewed by a judge either in person, via telephone or Skype. A
date for the interview will be confirmed (with two weeks’ notice provided) and it will take place before
the end of May.
3. The winner of this category will be announced at our prestigious 40th anniversary celebration & awards
ceremony in June.
