ABOUT KNIT
Established in the year 1976, Kamla Nehru
Institute of Technology, Sultanpur is one of
the leading technical institutions of the
region and is responsible for providing top
grade engineers with skill sets comparable
with best in the world. It also renders the
testing and consultancy services to the
various
government
departments,
neighboring industries and various other
agencies. This is presently an autonomous
institute (under 2f and 12B of UGC Act) and
affiliated to U.P. Technical University,
Lucknow, India.
The institute offers B. Tech. and M. Tech.
courses in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical,
Electronics,
Computer
Science
&
Engineering and Information Technology.
The institute also offers M.C.A. Moreover, it
offers Ph. D. in the aforesaid disciplines and
in Applied Sciences and Humanities as well.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Computer Sc. & Engineering
Department is one of the oldest
departments of the institute. The
department has a well qualified faculty and
technical supporting staff. The department
offers B.Tech (CS), B.Tech (IT), MCA and
M.Tech (Regular) & M.Tech (Part Time)
courses. All the laboratories of the
department are well equipped with modern
equipments.
HOW TO REACH
The Institute is situated 5 Km away from the
Sultanpur city on NH-96 (AllahabadFaizabad National Highway) on the bank of
river Gomti. Sultanpur District is a part of
Faizabad Division (situated about 140 Kms
away from Lucknow on NH-56) and is well
connected through road and rail network.
The nearest airport is Amousi (Lucknow)
and Babatpur (Varanasi) which is about 140
Km far from the Institute.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The aim of FDP is to share knowledge to the
target audience about the significance of
MATLAB in advance computing. Another
aim of the FDP is to increase awareness
about MATLAB among faculty members so
that faculties can enhance their skill set.
This FDP is intended to provide practical
exposure of MATLAB to Faculty members of
Engineering. This whole exercise enhanced
their multilateral thinking approach &
enhances capability to look on engineering
problems with multi directional approach
followed by multidisciplinary research &
development work leading to their M. Tech
& Ph. D. work for research & Development.
Inaugural function is scheduled at 10:00 AM
on July 25, 2016.
