Welcome to our April - June program. Mount Eliza Neighbourhood House We have a great variety of programs and groups to keep you busy over the cooler months. If you’re on your way to Italy then join Mila for a crash course in Italian, or if you’re staying at home there are various movement classes on offer. If you need assistance with your family research project or you’re finding that laptop, smartphone or digital device challenging, we have the programs for you! We aim to engage with the community of Mt Eliza in a meaningful way, so if you have ideas for programs or would like to be involved through volunteering please feel free to drop in and have a chat. There are 2 sessions to choose from on Mondays Time: 4-4.40pm or 5-5.40pm Cost: $15 per session DIVERSIONAL ART THERAPY This is an introduction to work in Diversional/Art Therapy activities for those considering studying, or working in, aged care. It will also suit carers or those who would like to use art as a therapy at home. The tutor will take you through different media and art methods used in Diversional Therapy. Explore different ways to present family histories, the use of computers and different formats, using a specialised geneaology program, sharing resources and information. An accomplished artist and teacher Andrea will help you unlock your creativity in these warm, welcoming classes. We offer a welcoming place for everyone to take part in with various activities that may include coffee at a local café, gardening, art, or cooking . Contact us on 9787 8160 MOUNT ELIZA MEN’S SHED EMBROIDERY & SEWING GROUP We are a social group of embroiderers who come together each Monday for the enjoyment of sharing our embroidery projects. Prerequisite is a sense of humour - we like to laugh. Our Men’s Shed is open to anyone who would like to drop in for a chat, enjoy good company or learn and share skills. It’s a place for blokes to gather, work or support each other. You don’t need to be handy, or have any particular experience. Just come and hang out. We have a lot of fun and get involved in all sorts of community activities. MAH JONG GROUPS Date: Mondays We have big plans for our little shed and we’re looking for more members to help us grow and evolve. Eliza Writers Centre is a dynamic environment offering opportunities for mutual learning within a supportive group.
