Credit Recovery Options
There are three ways to make up failed courses: Alta Make Up Packets, Alta GradPoint
and Outside Accredited Programs.

2. GradPoint - an online credit recovery program available Monday – Thursday from
2:30 - 4:00 p.m. Please see Mr Bret Thomas in Room #2205 or Mr. Todd Call in Room #2113 to sign-up,
receive a password, and/or how to get enrolled in this credit recovery option.
*All GradPoint classes are offered in two semesters unless otherwise noted.

**If a student has to complete a specific quarter, the course can be
set to complete only that quarter.
3. Outside Accredited Organizations
*Alta make up packets and GradPoint courses are not NCAA approved. Please check with outside programs for
their NCAA eligibility.
GENERAL RULES FOR ALTA PACKETS AND ONLINE GradPoint:
 You have 9 weeks to complete the packet or GradPoint course and take the final exam from the date you begin
your course.
 This program is only available to Alta students who must make up failed credit.
 The cost is $35 per quarter credit. THIS FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
 Fee waivers are not applicable for make up credit.
HOW TO SIGN UP:
1. Contact your counselor for a referral form.
2. Pay the required fee at the main office. (Make checks payable to Alta High.)
3. After paying the fee, take your receipt and referral form to the appropriate teacher to pick up your packet
or go to the Media Center before or after school to begin your online course.
4. If you miss the course deadlines, you must repurchase the course. SORRY, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Make up packets may be purchased before or after schooland at lunch. Do not interrupt teachers during class time to
pick up materials.
