Guidelines: "Transitions at Assessment Level for Bachelor's Degrees in
Business and Economics"
August 2015
You assume that you will not yet have completed all your assessment-level modules by the end
of FS161. In this case, you will need to repeat the outstanding modules from the old assessment
level in HS162 and FS17. However, we strongly recommend that you still request to switch to
the new regulations during the semester enrollment for HS16 (that is, in May 2016). Following
this, you can simply take modules that allow you to complete your assessment level under the
old regulations.
To complete your assessment level, you must take/repeat the outstanding modules according to the
list below:
 Of the eleven assessment-level modules, eight remain unchanged. You may simply repeat these
by rebooking them one year later (in HS16/FS17).
 Two modules will only be offered as repeat modules (Finance and Financial Reporting). These
repeat modules consist of a component in which information on the subject is communicated to
students, with the opportunity to ask questions, plus an examination component, but do not
necessarily involve a weekly lecture. You can find more information on this in the course catalogue.
 One module is being given a new title, but its content will remain the same (Informatics for
Economists I). Therefore, if you did not pass Informatics for Economists I in your first year, you
should book the renamed module Informatics and Economics one year later, as it has the same
content.
For details, refer to the diagram on the next page.
At the same time as you are taking assessment-level modules that you need to repeat, you may also
begin modules from the common compulsory program or even core electives in line with the new
regulations as soon as you have passed the 45 assessment-level ECTS credits required to do this.
