HFMA provide a vital network for finance staff in what is becoming an increasingly fragmented healthcare
system. HFMA’s “Stronger Together” initiative is all about supporting each other, building networks and
partnerships, sharing ideas and good practice and working together. As part of this initiative we are
offering a range of opportunities aimed specifically at helping HFMA members to face the challenge of
developing and maintaining robust relationships during a time of intense service pressures.

Workshop 2:
Time Management for Human Beings
A lot of time management advice seems to be based on the mistaken assumption that people are like machines
– it’s all about finding a more efficient daily process. This workshop takes a different view: human beings have
temperaments, moods and biorhythms. In other words, good time management is a highly individual challenge,
and one approach won’t suit everyone.






Understanding your ‘time management type’
The place, and limitations, of self-discipline. How to handle your conflicting impulses during the day
Working with your natural rhythms and moods
