APPLICATION FOR ABNORMAL LOAD PERMIT
An Abnormal load is one where the weight or any dimensions exceeds the
maximum permissible for the particular type vehicle as laid down in the
Construction and Use of Vehicles Regulations
NB Applicants shall, not less than 4 working days before making an application for a
Permit, give notice in writing to the Commissioner of the Garda Sìochana of the
proposed application enclosing a copy of the application.
Applicants are required to give 4 clear working days notice to Kildare County Council
before dates of travel to allow for processing of Permit.
