Clean-up for Aflatoxin (B1,B2,G1,G2) and Zearalenone mu_226_040706 MultiSep®226 AflaZon+ Syringe format To shorten the time-consuming clean-up process for analysis of aflatoxin and zearalenone, Romer® Labs has developed two one-step clean-up columns for this group of mycotoxins. The MultiSep®224 AflaZon column contains a combination of adsorbents that was designed for complex commodities. When more purification is necessary due to the complexity of the matrix, MultiSep®226 AflaZon+ containing a double portion of these same adsorbents might be preferred. Both columns are available in two formats, the MultiSep® syringe format and the MycoSep® push-through format. Both formats have been intensively studied and application briefs are available. The following describes an example of a general procedure for MultiSep®226 AflaZon (For detailed application briefs, see www.romerlabs.com): Grind and weigh 25g of sample Commodities studied: • grains Add 100mL 84+16 AcN+H2O, blend for 3 minutes, or shake for 30 minutes Filter supernatant • silages • feed • food Recovery: >90% Acidify 6ml extract with 60µl acetic acid (in case of Zon) Variability: <5% Apply 6mL of extract to MultiSep®226 AflaZon+ Time for clean up: 60 seconds Remove all liquid, evaporate 4ml of the eluate to dryness Redissolve in 400µl mobile phase MultiSep® 226 AflaZon+ columns Order No.:COCMU2226 Box of 25 MultiSep® 224 AflaZon columns Order No.:COCMU2224 Box of 25 Analyze Romer Labs, Inc. – America Romer Labs Singapore Pte.
