Dear Player, Parent, Club,
The Nottinghamshire FA is pleased to announce that we have been once again awarded the licence from the FA
to run the girls Player Development Centres for the 2015/2016 season.
Girls’ Player Development Centres (PDCs) were introduced to bridge the gap between grassroots football and
Centre of Excellence football, and provide a more complete pathway for talented female players.
The Centre will be hosting a trial event on Monday 7th September from 6.30pm-8.30pm (Please arrive in good
time) and will be based at Southglade Leisure Centre. The PDC provides extra training and support on top of that
received at players’ grassroots clubs. Every player continues to play for their club, and receives extra coaching
one evening a week from appropriately qualified coaches. This includes specialist coaching for goalkeepers.
Players also play in friendly fixtures and festivals against other Player Development Centres.
The PDCs provide aspiring young female footballers with the best opportunity to develop and progress without
them needing to leave their grassroots clubs.
We are currently able to offer a trial for new players at these PDCs; there are squads for U11s, U13s and U15s. If
