Win a $1,000 Bankwest Account – Terms and Conditions
How to enter:
1. Entry to this competition is by, collecting an entry form from your participating Bankwest
store or kiosk, completing the form and depositing the entry form (validated by a
Bankwest colleague) into the entry box located at any participating Bankwest store or
kiosk.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. This competition commences at 9:00am EST on 1 July 2016 and closes at 5:30pm WST
on 30 June 2017 (‘Promotional Period’). Taking part in this competition constitutes
acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. The Promoter of the competition is Bankwest, a division of Commonwealth Bank of
Australia ABN 48 123 123 124 AFSL / Australian credit licence 234945, Bankwest Place,
300 Murray St, Perth WA 6000 (‘Bankwest’) authorised under NSW TPL number LTPS15-04581.
3. To enter, persons must deposit a clearly completed and validated entry form at a
participating Bankwest store or kiosk located in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland,
South Australia or Western Australia during the Promotional Period. Entry forms that have
not been validated will not be entered into the draw.
4. This promotion is only open to residents of New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland,
South Australia and Western Australia.
5. There is a total prize pool of $4000.00 to be won, consisting of four prizes of $1000.00
(one winner per quarter) to be deposited in a Bankwest transaction account, drawn from
eligible entries submitted:
A) Between 1 July and 30 September 2016 (‘Prize A’),
B) Between 1 October and 31 December 2016 (‘Prize B’),
C) Between 1 January and 31 March 2017 (Prize C’), and
D) Between 1 April and 30 June 2017 (‘Prize D’).
6. There will be one winner drawn each quarter by random hand selection at Bankwest
Place, 300 Murray Street, Perth WA 6000 on:
a) 19 October 2016 at 10:00am WST (‘Draw Date A’).
b) 18 January 2017 at 10:00am WST (‘Draw Date B’).
c) 19 April 2017 at 10:00am WST (‘Draw Date C’).
d) 19 July 2017 at 10:00am WST (‘Draw Date D’).
7. The winner will be notified on their contact number as indicated on the entry form within
two days of the Draw Date. Provided the winner’s are successfully contacted the winner’s
details will be announced online at www.bankwest.com.au on:
A) 31 October 2016 (‘Winner A’),
B) 30 January 2017 (‘Winner B’),
C) 28 April 2017 (‘Winner C’), and
D) 31 July 2017 (‘Winner D’).
8. The winners will also be announced in the Australian.
9. Each prize must be deposited into a Bankwest transaction account. If you don’t already
hold a Bankwest transaction account, you will be required to open one to have your prize
deposited (a Bankwest TeleNet account cannot be used for this purpose). Terms and
conditions apply to opening the account. To decide if this product is right for you, please
carefully read the Product Disclosure Statement for the product. Product Disclosure
Statements can be obtained from your local Bankwest store, from the Bankwest web site
bankwest.com.au or by contacting the Bankwest Customer Help Centre on 13 17 19.
10. If any prize remains unclaimed after 3 months of the draw, the Promoter will conduct an
unclaimed prize draw in the same manner and place as the original draw, subject to any
directions from the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing (NSW) or given under
Regulation 37 of the Lottery and Gaming Regulations 1993 (SA).
11. There is a limit of 1 entry per person per quarter.
12. Bankwest accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize
winnings.
13. If for any reason whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the
promotion is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated, the Promoter
reserves the right, in its sole discretion, unless to do so would be prohibited by law, to (a)
disqualify any entrant; and/or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory
authority, to cancel, suspend, modify, terminate or cancel the promotion.
14. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an
entrant’s identity and age) and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering
with the entry process or for submitting an entry that is not in accordance with these
Terms and Conditions, or if the entrant is engaged in any unlawful or other improper
misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The
Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender
are reserved. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not
constitute a waiver of these rights.
15. Bankwest reserves the right to make changes to the prize allocation through the
competition.
16. No correspondence will be entered into. The promoter’s decision is final.
17. Directors and employees of the Promoter (and their immediate families) and its agencies
associated with this promotion, are not eligible to enter.
