Dear Friends of People With Disabilities:
A Sporting Chance provides amateur sports training, competition, and recreational programs for
any person with any type of disability, youth who are disadvantaged, abused & neglected
children, "At Risk Teenagers" & Senior Citizens. You have helped us in the past and we
hope you will help us again.
Organization
A Sporting Chance is a Not For Profit Organization, headquartered in Springfield, MO. A
Sporting Chance serves 26 counties in SW Missouri and all money raised stays local. A
Sporting Chance is a 501 (c)(3) organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service. The
organization is governed by a 21 member Board of Directors. 100 % of all money raised will
be spent in SW Missouri. A Sporting Chance is a total entity by itself and has no affiliation
with any National or State Organization. A Sporting Chance offers year round (Seasonal)
training and competition on a $250,000 budget.
Sponsor 1 child for 48 Weeks of programs for $25
A Sporting Chance offers (7 to 9 week long) leagues and at least 1 tournament in each of the
sports that are offered to our athletes. We offer 9 weeks of league play in Basketball (Dec. Feb); 7 weeks of league play in Track & Field (Mar.- May), 9 weeks of league play in Softball
(May - July), 7 weeks of league play in Golf (June - July), 7 weeks of league play in Volleyball
(Sept. - Oct.), and 9 weeks of league play in Bowling (Sept. - Nov.). We are looking for
Churches that would sponsor 1 athlete for 48 weeks of programs. It only costs $25 to
sponsor an athlete for the entire 48 weeks. Please help sponsor at least 1 athlete.
