about the club
Q
ueanbeyan City Football Club (QCFC) is a non-profit community based
football club with a strong focus on promoting good health and an active
lifestyle through sport. QCFC was founded in 1966 making it one of the
oldest clubs in the Queanbeyan/ACT and surrounding regions, and today has over
300 registered players.
Our new management committee comprises professional, highly motivated and
proactive individuals with a new vision and vast plans for QCFC, its members,
sponsors and the broader community.
Our emphasis is on participation, fun and fair play. We value our sporting successes
and strive to accept defeats in our competition teams with good grace. QCFC is
committed to the development of its youth to ensure the growth of the club at
grass roots level, allowing natural progression of the players into senior ranks. Our
approach for the Junior teams is on learning and fun, not winning.
Football in the Queanbeyan/ACT and surrounding regions is continuing to grow in
popularity as a sport for all ages, and QCFC is proud to be a part of helping the
community develop a love of the ‘world game’. Traditions are built over time. Now
is the time for your business to be a part of the QCFC tradition. The foundations are
in place and we invite you to help the club to continue to grow and maintain its
place as a valuable community asset.

ueanbeyan and Australia’s Capital Territory house a broad cross section of
the community – from the affluent living in million dollar lake-front homes,
to normal everyday families. Located prominently within this region, an
association with QCFC provides a wonderful opportunity for our Sponsor’s products
and services to be exposed to this valuable market.
QCFC currently comprises; Junior teams (boys and girls), Woman’s team, Men’s
Team (First Division and Third Division) and a Masters team.
In addition to our 300+ registered players, we have the largest base of loyal
supporters. Over the past 46 years, QCFC has become more than just a place to
play sport. It is now a place for families and friends to congregate in the spirit of the
community and culture.

future initiatives
D
uring 2013 QCFC, with the support of the Queanbeyan City Council, will
commence a project of extending the club’s facilities at Riverside Stadium.
The proposed extension will provide an upgrade to currently existing
change rooms and storage areas as well as the building of a brand new second
level Clubhouse. The new Clubhouse will provide club members and sponsors with
uninterrupted open and enclosed viewing areas for all QCFC home games and a
venue for functions such as meetings, presentation nights, cultural and other
events.
The Clubhouse will also be a great venue to acknowledge its sponsors by
recognition on a Sponsorship Plaque. QCFC anticipates the proposed Clubhouse
will be completed for the 2013 season.

success stories
O
ur latest success story is our biggest achievement to date - QCFC was the
State League Division 1 winner in the 2010 season! The team is very proud
and this success is largely due to the dedicated players, coaching staff
and the support of sponsors and fans.

club and the community through radio, internet and newsletter • ensure

of our club is a tax-deductable expense and QCFC will provide you with all of the
