Sweeney
Join Denise Sweeney as she talks about her new
cancer memoir Steps to Survival Gynaecological
Cancers: Raising Awareness and My Own Private
Battle. Denise was an Intern Psychologist at the
time of her diagnosis, which allowed her to use
psychological strategies whilst she underwent
major surgery, chemo and radiation. Hear
Denise’s story and the strategies she used, and
learn the risk factors and symptoms associated
with gynaecological cancers. By sharing her
story, Denise offers guidance and hope for
women faced with similar conditions. Books will

The Happy Lunchbox
Join us for this six week program, featuring
two interactive face-to-face workshops in
the library, weekly newsletters and a closed
Facebook group to learn how to create a truly
healthy lunchbox which reduces waste to landfill
and saves you money. Developed by ATUNE
and Lake Macquarie City Council, this program
will provide insights into nutrition requirements
for kids, the impact of nutrition on behaviour,
