He also serves as Managing Owner and Governor of the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers, is a co-owner of the Premier League’s Crystal Palace FC and is a co-owner of the Team Dignitas eSports franchise. In August 2014, was named The Star-Ledger’s most influential individual – along with David Blitzer – in New Jersey sports. Harris is the Managing Partner of Apollo Management, L.P., which he co-founded in 1990. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and received his MBA from the Harvard Business School where he was named a Baker and Loeb Scholar. Among other civic activities, Josh serves as a member of The Federal Reserve Bank of New York Investors Advisory Committee on Financial Markets and the Undergraduate Executive Board of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Josh has strong ties to northern New Jersey; his grandparents lived in Newark, while his father attended Caldwell High School.
