National “D” License Course
Candidate Practice Coaching Information
The “D” License Course is a 4-phase process.
Preparation Phase (1-2 months prior to the course start date):
1. Plan and conduct training sessions on 5 topics (2 att., 2 def., 1 GK) and write a self-reflection
summary after each. Use “D” session plan form.
2. One week prior to instruction weekend, submit 5 session plans and Self-Eval Summary to
[email protected].
3. Schedule individual meeting with instructor the week prior to instruction weekend.
Deliberate Coaching Phase (~2 months between Instruction and Evaluation weekends):
1. Plan and conduct training sessions on 5 topics (2 att., 2 def., 1 GK), different from those selected
in the Prep Phase, and write a self-reflection summary after each. Use “D” session plan form.
2. One week prior to evaluation weekend, submit 5 session plans and Self-Eval Summary to
[email protected].
3. Schedule individual meeting with instructor for Saturday a.m. of evaluation weekend.
