Headliners Florida Georgia Line and Chris Young along with country stars Thomas Rhett and Phil Vassar are expected to bring in huge crowds to the Moondance concert area on Friday and Saturday night. Moondance owner and promoter Kathy Bieloh had a feeling that she had something special going on when Florida Georgia Line was booked way back in August of last year, “We were so happy about getting Florida Georgia Line last summer because they were having such a great year, but they haven't stopped. They've kept putting out hits and selling out shows." And she's seeing it in ticket sales at Moondance, "Once we had Chris Young, Thomas Rhett, Phil Vassar and all of the other great talent on the bill the orders just kept rolling in. We are just so blessed to have so many fantastic artists this year. We can't wait to see all of their fans and hopefully they love Moondance as much as our great group of loyal jammers who come out every year.” The main stage will also feature Clare Dunn who opened for Bob Seger on a leg of his tour this spring, Old Dominion who is touring with Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean this summer and upand-comers Chris Lane and William Michael Morgan. Jammin Country is even opening the main stage a night early on Thursday for Nashville acts Gunnar and the Grizzly Boys and American Young. The traditional Pre Jam Party is free to all two day ticket holders who want to come in a day early to Moondance to setup camp and add an extra day of fun to their weekend. Moondance has two other side stages in two bars connected to the concert area. The MDJ Saloon stage puts the spotlight on regional artists along with a second show by a couple of the main stage artists. The Lazy Moon Bar & Grill acoustic stage highlights regional acoustic acts and a karaoke contest in the mornings. Along with the music, Jammin Country fans can also partake in a camping contest on Thursday and Friday, the Traveling Art Pub painting party on Friday at noon in the MDJ Saloon, free wine and beer tasting at Billy B's bar in the concert area on Friday at 1:00 p.m. and a beer pong tournament at noon on Saturday at Billy B's. Plus the Lazy Moon Bar & Grill, which overlooks the backstage area, features a breakfast buffet and Bloody Mary bar from 9:00 a.m. to noon daily. There are two shirt shacks and numerous vendors inside the concert area for a wide variety of food, beverages, clothing and more.
